Can you feel it? It's a delicious feeling.
Flailing Season is in full effect, with over 6 months to go before the election.

Their whole cheap, tawdry, jaded, faded, gnarled and twisted enterprise is being outed, every day. Every day brings more "revelations"(in quotes, because anyone here who feigns surprise is gonna get such a pinch!), revelations that expose them to the world as the over-reaching morons that they are. Running on credibility fumes, the stains of flop sweat are darkening the undearms of their $1500 suits.

Every day. Every day these guys are getting pummeled by the natural consequences of their actions. Of course, their actions are also causing good people, on all sides of the geopolitical equation,to die. Sadly, many of us expected, in the darkest recesses of out minds, that it would come to that. The name Bush has always been associated with a death trip. The family has a natural propensity for, and an attraction to, death. No one loved Death more than George. One only has to look at his tenure in Texas. He turned Texas into the K-Mart Blue Light of Death Special. The McDonald's of Death, his only regret that it didn't last long enough to serve billions. So, he got us into a war, because he could not deny his One True Nature.

So, enjoy the flailing. 6.5+/- months to go, and the smell of White House and Repuke Fear Farts are wafting over this land like a green mist. They have a campaign burn rate that has taken them through about $100 Million of their war chest. On no objective economic number are they making any headway. The Iraqi Adventure has become Wormwood on their tongues. The cabinet is spinning apart. Dick Cheney is seen once a month. Presumably, he spends the rest of his time in dark and dank subterranean redoubts, avoiding process servers.

A number of months back, I kept saying "after hubris comes nemesis".

Here it is, sports fans. Welcome to Nemesis. Make sure you stop off at one of out convenient concession stands, on your way out, and buy a t-shirt.

2. I wouldn't be so quick to gloat
One "terrorist attack" could take all of their problems away and make good old Americans forget all about it.

4. One terrorist attack proves that Bush is unable to keep us safe
IMHO

5. Who's gloating?
File under: "Advanced Post-Mortem".

I do not agree that another attack would shore them up. Quite the contrary, it would serve to punctuate their inherent incompetance.

19. Remember how the media tried to portray Spain's vote
As a vote for the terrorist? If there is another terrorist's attack I am almost certain that this will be their line. If you vote againt Bush*-- the terrorists win.

Sorry about the gloat statement-- it didn't come out right. I think a better word would have been "celebrate".

7. Yea I'm with you on this
I see a bin Laden bounce and if they find WMDs that would surely help Bush. The 911 Commission hasn't seemed to help either.

Not one.

Loosen up already.

9. If they let another terrorist attack happen...
...it has as much chance of creating a VIOLENT backlash as it does of improving their fortunes. Not just that they let S11 happen, but that they then used S11 to wage a phony war in Iraq built on lies, and then STILL didn't protect US citizens. They would HAVE to declare some form of martial law (if they haven't, in reality, already done so), because I know I sure as hell wouldn't take that as a sign that terrorists really wanted Kerry. Another attack would prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the only jobs created by the Bush administration have been in the field of "mass murderers".

3. Actually it is a kinda sickening feeling, and i can't take a whole
lot of comfort in any of it. I just hope that it does finally convince a vast majority how dangerous this crew is.

You are correct about their arrogance, though. That is what is doing them in.

6. Bush's suits cost $5,000.
He wouldn't be caught dead in a $1500 rag. Neither, I'm sure would any of his cabinet.

8. people who have blood on their hands are coming out
if the outcome of the illegal invasion of Iraq had turned out differently we'd be hearing none of this. There's a lot of guilt out there, starting with journalists who failed to do their jobs since before King George was installed.

11. Guilt.
It so effectively clears the air, for a truly guilty person so often wants to confess. Unless, of course, he is a mindless, babbling sociopath. Like some people we know.

13. The only guarantee that BushCo will be ousted from the White House...
...is if the Kerry wins the electoral college votes. So let's get out the democratic votes in record numbers this November. :kick: And lets make sure that Bush is not given the chance to push the nuclear button or invade any more helpless countries. :spank:

18. heh. "c" student
April 17, 2004 | "America is a nation of B and C students."

True to the name of his new HBO special, "Never Scared," Chris Rock is pacing the stage, explaining his take on, of all things, affirmative action.

"But let's keep it fucking real, OK? A black C student can't run no fucking company. A black C student can't even be the manager of Burger King. Meanwhile, a white C student just happens to be the president of the United States of America!"

Chris Rock is back.
