5. OT: food closeups -- do they always suck?

Like that one you posted. Sure, I know it's rice and beans. It Looks like a swarm of maggots infesting a pile of deer droppings.

Every time I see a closeup of food, or one of those mega-large zooms on food in a restaurant commercial on TV, my reaction is never "ooh boy, let's get some of that." More like, "damn, is that what it looks like under a microscope?"
