The last Bin Laden audio. |
|
Forgive me if this has been discussed. Bin Laden on his latest audio supposedly attempts to strike a deal with the non-American members of the coalition assuring them that they would not be victims of terrorist attacks if they pulled out of Iraq (or something like that). Does anyone else think that this is simply an attempt by this administation to make it appear as though anyone who pulls out of the coalition is bowing to Bin Laden's demands. Simply put, do you think that this Bin Laden audio tape story is bullshit?

1. Do you remember the lab in Switzerland? |
|
At least I think it was Switzerland. There was a lab which would independently verify whether or not the tapes (both audio and video, I think) from Bin Laden were authentic or not. Then all of a sudden, they announced that they weren't doing it any more.
I suspect one of them woke up next to a horse's head one morning...

Although most of your analysis I agree with.
I don't think Bin Laden actually wants troups withdrawn. He is well aware that if withdrawing troups appears like bowing to his demands, troups will less likely be withdrawn.
Both Bin Laden and * are hoping for a "clash of civilizations".
