Can someone tell me how Air America is doing? |
|
I can't tell if they're bouncing checks or if they've had copntract disputes. It seems like they're adding more stations. Is it doing well?

they are doing fine, never bounced checks, the station owner is a hardcore repuke who tried to rip them off. there are many threads about this matter.

I can't see DU at work because it's blocked. I know about the Chicago guy. I'm just wondering about how they're doing in general.

2. The owner said that they bounced a check but they proved to |

a court in Chicago that they didn't. Therefore, the Chicago station was let back on the air. Here in L.A. we are still without the station (it'll be a week this Wednesday). There is a "contract dispute." The word is that the owner (multicultural radio) sold airtime to both a spanish station and Air America. I will get either xm or sirus if it doesn't get back on in L.A. but that's just preaching to the choir (me). I want as many Americans as possible to get the other sides views and the truth. Not a lot of average folks are going to go to the time, trouble, and spend the money to get special devices. I believe that it will be back on because it has been extremely popular and apparently a lot of stations are seeing that there's a market for it. In the meantime, I'm totally bummed to not be hearing Al, Randi, and Jeannine :-(

You have to dig through Arbitron reports for every town AA has an affliate in (if the station is even tracked by them) and it's not cheap.
I'm sure something will be made public though.
