MSNBC poll!
They want to know if the Woodward book changed your mind about the war in Iraq.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3096434/

Right now the NO's are quite a bit ahead. I will tell you, I answered yes and posted a followup opinion. Some parts I wasn't completely truthful. I said I didn't like the war, but the President and his admin. were very convincing that Sadaam was intent on destroying America, and I did see Powells photos to the UN. I then proceded to explain that I believed it is an impeachable offence to use lies to further a personal agends.

You may disagree with my approach, but at least vote in the poll!

1. It's a bullshit poll
My mind isn't changed, so I would be forced to say "no". However, that's only because I thought the war was bullshit to begin with. It's a cheap way to obtain expected results.

4. My mind IS changed!
I was opposed to the war, but the info in Woodward's book is even more outrageous, more damning.

19. Yeah, but just vote yes.
Voting yes FUCKS them up when they ask that question...cuz the change can't be GOOD, right? So, if folks just vote yes...33% of the population has now CHANGED THEIR MIND about the war? WOW! :)

3. Poorly worded poll
This is a poorly worded poll in that much of Woodward's book confirms what Richard Clarke and Paul O'Neal has already stated. The fact that so many sources are all consistent on this issue is important. One could honesly answer no to this poll and still feel that Bush was wrong in Iraq.

12. Amen to that
I had to lie in order to vote--becuase I never wanted war, my opininon has not changed. But the intent is that has bob made a good arguement in his book, right?

5. Badly worded question
I voted no, but also added my comment saying it just gave me another reason to oppose the war and another reason to vote against Bush in November.

I wonder who writes polls for CNN and MSNBC--they keep coming up with poorly constructed questions that make it impossible for you to express your actual opinion. The worst examples are the "Has X changed your opinion?"

13. Grammar
Hi,

I've always thought that the questions were very deliberate.

You could never answer honestly....it'a always skewed.

I take the polls on MyWay.com...I find that they are correctly constructed and you always have the choice of "I don't know" and "I don't care".

Cheers,
Kim

6. Yeah

There are a lot of these "trick" questions recently...

For example, I should answer NO to this question (as most of us
here would) because I was against the war before it started, so
literally, Woodwards book doesn't change anything for me. But, if
I answer NO, I will be joining a bunch of freepers and the like
who also vote NO (the "my president right or wrong"). And the
results could be cast as support for the president.

There have been a number of these "trick question" polls recently.
We should write MSNBC and complain (not that they are likely to
do anything about it).

I'll vote YES.

11. That's the reason I answered yes!
I agree with your assesment, but I answered YES because I wanted it to be clear that I believed the evidence was MOUNTING and changing a lot of minds.

18. Yes.. and my point

is that there seem to be a lot of this "trick" question polls.

So I agreed with your post, and I also think that CNN/MSNBC and others
(I never visit FAUX so I won't even mention them) are manipulating
even these unscientific polls (mostly because the results have been
60 to 80 percent AGAINST the president) to present a more "even split".
Why... you can't steal a lopsided election (OK, it's not as easy to
steal a lopsided election).

8. It didn't change my mind one bit
It only confirmed what I already know. I suspect the most of the No's are of the same notion.

14. dippy poll
It is a poorly worded poll, but the reason there's so many "no" votes is not because of the wording.

According to the Kerry site, the poll has been on Free Republic's "FREEP THIS POLL" site all morning, and they've had thousands of idjits hitting it hard.

16. They asked for a reply, so I gave them this...
"This has to be one of the most STUPIDLY worded polls I have ever seen! Talk about "open-ended" questions. Why don't you be more direct and have a qestion that makes more sense? For example: "Does Bob Woodward's book convince you that the war on Iraq was pushed unnecessarily by the Bush administration?" Just think about how ignorant your question really is. Please, you really do insult my intelligence (and I'm sure many others)."
