Bremer is being replaced? |

I only heard a snippet of this on the news, didn't hear much, except being replaced by an ambassador who had previously worked in Vietnam. Anybody hear anything on this....

Bremer is NOT being replaced. He is coming home in triumph after his hugely successful stint as Viceroy of Iraq, which is now a democracy except for a few terrorists who are probably hiding the WMD's.

President Bush named John Negroponte, the United States' top diplomat at the United Nations, as the U.S. ambassador to Iraq on Monday and asserted that Iraq "will be free and democratic and peaceful." http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&u=/ap/20040419/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq_us_ambassador
