I am sure you ladies and gents have already discussed the Woodward book and it's ramifications but I am just tuning in.
I missed the 60 Minutes interview but I have read all of the NY papers (except the Post) ... and I have zipped through the news channels (which seem to be vigorously covering this.)
I think this time they can't spin thier way out!
THEY HAVE NO ONE TO ATTACK AND FALSELY DISCREDIT!
I have not felt like this in a long time! Even though I just found out I need root canal tommorow-- I'm a happy camper!!
Am I being naive...?

Contrary to many many posters here I believe both the Woodward book and his interview on 60 Minutes is bad news for ShrubCo. The fact Limpballs has been slamming Woodward all day tells me all I need to know.
That being said, I'm not sure there is one silver bullet that's going to bring ShrubCo. down. More likely, it will be a continuous stream of stories like this that will ultimately culminate in his defeat come Nov.

Woodward has a very high level of integrity, and to say he's full of crap would mean that the accuser is challenging the history and legacy of Watergate.
His book shows the * admin as it is. He lets them damn themselves in their own words, so you are right, when they spin they have to spin themselves as opposed to someone else (such as Clarke). And that's something this administration isn't very good a doing.

3. You are not naive. But we have |
|
been so hopeful before about things that didn't happen it is hard to be optimistic.

5. Of course, Condi is refuting |
|
She is saying that Woodwards timeline is simply false.
I wonder if she's getting tired of refuting all the treasonous liars that are leaving the WH? That seems to be all she's been doing lately.

6. what's particularly damning is General Meyers confirming |
|
the story that Bushco showed the battle plans for the Iraq invasion to the Saudi ambassador.
He said it yesterday, said "yeah, that's about right", very casually.
GOOD GOD!

Woodward has great credibility. To question him would be not impossible but difficult. Also, the White House and their Mediawhore KKKronies would show their guilt if they assaulted Woodward.

I'm baffled by the reaction to this book. I don't get the big deal. To me, Clarke was much more damning. Woodward is a) not a member of the administration and long term expert on the subject, and b) what's in Woodward (I haven't read the book, but I've read the press) that hasn't been gone over a million times? What I'm hearing from the book is that the Iraq war was planned all along and since day one. This has been said many times before by insiders.
