The "We'll all be dead" comment is just the Republican way |
|
That's what makes one a republican. Its all about them, and too bad about anyone else. Its how they justify their piety and greed. Its also why they have no problem with dead Iraqis. Go beyond 'republican' as an idividual, apply it to the country as a whole, and justify mass murder because "it makes us safer".
Then there's the issue of tolerance. They have none for you or me or anyone else that doesn't agree with them.
Reminds me of a bumper stcker I saw a while back:
"God said it, I believe it, that settles it"
Pretty much says it all.

Totalitarian Monsters like Bush are cut from the same cloth as the rest of histoy's figures who are so like him
(though Bunnypants* IS "kinder and gentler" than he'd like to be due to the wretched remnants of the Constitution and Bill of Rights not tomention the millions of armed Free Americans who might damage his prize if he acts to Saddam-like too fast)

4. Bush is a huge fan of eschatology |

Jack Van Imple, Bible Code... The comment was telling because it reveals Bush's believes the Rapture is coming very soon - so soon that history won't even have a chance to judge his Administration.
The alternative theory posited by Franken today- that he meant that history would not come to any consensus about his presidency until after he is dead- just doesn't ring true. He said "we." There will be many, many people alive today still living when historians reach such a consensus. Look at FDR, Truman, Kennedy...
