2. Bingo
Wall Street Types don't like you betraying your class.

No tin foil hat needed on this one.

Martha Stewart went down and then Eisner is next. Of course servering ties with Pixar was a moron move.

That and the latest Home on the Range movie sucked hard.

3. In a word, no
I'm a long-time follower of Disney and Eisner is being persecuted because he quite thoroughly deserves it. He cut costs, cheapened the product, killed employee morale, he SHUT DOWN the animation division, built a disaster of a park in California, created direct-to-video crappy sequels to popular Disney movies, sunk the Disney Store...(deep breath)...I'll not bore you with the gory details but, believe me, he needs to go.

If you are interested in the gory details, dig through http://www.miceage.com/

4. Probably has to do with that Disney products suck now
Edited on Mon Apr-19-04 03:54 PM by Mike Daniels
Seriously, name the last non-Pixar affiliated Disney movie you went to and really enjoyed to the point that was really worth the money you paid to see it?

That, plus Disney made it's name by creating family entertainment and it has progressed so far away from that initial vision under Eisner that it's pissed off a lot of people just on that level as well.

Hell, Disney got on my crap list once it started cranking out horrendous direct to video sequels for it's premium cartoon features.

Sucks the big one. Riding Disney into the crapper. No good movies to speak of lately...I could have told you Home on the Range was a big steaming pile of cow manure from the first second I heard Roseanne's shrieking voice.

6. your choice of words says a lot.
Eisner has been at Disney too long, consequentially the product that Disney releases is of deteriorating quality, the theme parks are losing money and there is no vision. Disney should be featuring cutting edge product throughout its "empire" at this stage in its history and yet it is not.
