3. i do not think i have an exact definition but,
non-violent resistance would be any action that resists an unjust doctrine without physically harming another person

6. Violence, force, non-violence and satyagraha
Force without control is violence. That's not to say that there is not violent force that is controlled, but when force is applied without control that's definitely violence.

Non-violence is an application of force in the most abstract sense - if it accomplishes anything it must have applied force - but beyond that you'll likely get a lot of argument.

One authoritative voice is Ghandi and the definition of satyagraha. Any search engine comes up several links for satygraha.
