Military re-enlistment

I am a 6 year Army Reserve veteran. Currently I am feeling a sense of disgust with the DoD and the current mis administration, however I have a voice inside my head saying: combat journalism. Any veterans or current soldiers serving in the military as combat journalists? Anyone in the mood to talk me down or encourage me further?

1. If six years isn't enough for you then I say go for it

Our real President (Al Gore) was a combat journalist so it can't be all that bad. Someone has to tell the real story. I would rather it be a progressive that cares for humanity than a conservative that only cares for capital.

2. It's Your Choice

What do you want? That's the question you should be asking.
As a veteran i'm not going to tell you yes or no, you have to make this decision on your own. That way if it turns into a cluster f**k,
you'll have no one but yourself to blame.

If things go okay for you, then you can take all of the credit for making the decision.

Once again only you can make the decision, if it's a bad one then you get to spend the rest of your life kicking yourself, if it's a good one then you can spend the rest of your life patting yourself on the back.

3. Take your education benefits and use them.

I assume you signed on for Montgomery or whatever they have now. Get out and use it. You'll be able to do a lot more good as a civilian journalist. The way things are going, they would reclass your ass 11B. (I'm a former 11B).
