Honduras Considering Troop Pullout from Iraq
TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras (Reuters) - Honduras is considering withdrawing its 370 troops from Iraq (news - web sites), worried by spiraling violence and pressured by Spain's decision to pull its forces out, the government said on Monday.

"The government has ordered an urgent and detailed evaluation of the situation with the goal of taking appropriate measures in the short term," Foreign Minister Leonidas Rosa Bautista told reporters.

Soldiers from Honduras, a close U.S. ally in Central America, were sent to Iraq last summer as peacekeepers only. Congressional leaders have voiced concern for the troops' safety due to the recent wave of violence.

The troops, which have been clearing mines and providing medical care in central Iraq, had been set to leave when their mandate expires in July.

1. Which leaves who?
Really, who is left? What sort of troop numbers are we looking at? Many of the "coalition of the willing" had very little in the way of troops to send. I am frankly surprised that Honduras had 370 troops.

3. Ukraine's wobbling
I've heard the PM there is not too happy with what's going on and might pull out if Poland or Japan jump ship.
