Why Wes is the Best
choice for Kerry to make:

The Clinton/Gore legacy for the cheneybush in retrospect will look like gifts from Wise Men in comparison to the sorry state of afairs awaiting the democratic executive team in Feb. next year. International enmity to the U.S. will immediately subside to a great degree but by no means completely. The unwillingness to look truth in the face is the primary characteristic of the cheneybush which keeps its single eye focused laser like on the objective its trying to achieve. To set things right we need make absolutely strategic adjustments so that we come out of warp space with minimal turbulence and we can get on with our lives. Corporate interference in government and the rise of mega corporations, that are as adept as a ninty year old man, as likely to fall down and be unable to get up, but with an insurance plan that encompasses the full faith and credit of the USA. These companies are suffocating all aspects of the economy as well as technological advancement in critical areas like areospace and telecummunications. They have obtained the "indispensable" status so sought after in DC. They are insulated from failure thru such vehicles as anti-competitive merger, no-bid contracts, and high-end fraud.

Wes's CV looks like just the ticket to help fix the problem. He is as Michael Moore has described him a gift from the gods. Just as the military man Eisenhower was willing to warn of the MIC, Clark could be the one to address the issue with the no BS vision of a field general. The bonuses are also many, including the mandatory node to the south - believe it. He is new to politics, another plus really, but he cut his teeth in the primary and has cheney as an opponent. This would be some great debates folks. It's not as though cheney doesn't have a few chinks in his dour armor.

Former Democratic presidential candidate criticizes Bush
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Findings by the Sept. 11 commission show that President Bush did not do enough to keep Americans safe from terrorism, retired Gen. Wesley Clark asserted Saturday.

Clark, who dropped out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination in mid-February, was in Lincoln to speak at a Nebraska Democratic Party fund-raiser.

He told about 850 attending Democrats that Bush did not pay attention to intelligence reports about domestic terror threats before the Sept. 11 attacks.

"I believe it is the job of the president as chief executive to provide focus and direction," Clark said in a news conference prior to the Nebraska Democratic Party's Morrison-Exon Dinner. "President Bush did not do that with respect to 9/11."

2. I love that man
You don't get his kind of humility with four stars very often. I agree with Michael Moore. (And after his "911" movie comes out, the military vote is going to be positively up for grabs -- time to call on the General!)

7. There's something of the Lou Dobbs attitude in him that I like
Companies like Boeing that make our union workforce work in competition with chinese companies are supporting chinese schools and the chinese economy (the fastest growing in the world compared to our own moribund state) at the expense of our own schools and jobs.

We have to compete in the market with products *not* labor. - otherwise it will be a freefall for the middle class.

I think Wes has the vision to talk Kerry into doing something about it. Otherwise maybe the sight of Ralph Nader in his driver side mirror will help him get inspired.

4. Given that, even with all the bad news for bush, he is still running...
on his "war president" mantra, I just can't see Kerry not choosing Wes as VP, he would totally neutralize the whole bush campaign plan!
