Yep... As a young cherry DU'er, I too read some of the posts that some wrote on DU and thought these folks were fucking nuts. But ya know what??? I'd say a little more than half the time they were right.

It taught me that with the Bush gang, anything is possible. I think the Tinfoiler is the modern day muckraker and is a much needed voice in a Democracy. So all you folks out there that diss the tinfoilers for daring to throw out a possibility,,,well you stay nice and cozy in your safe little world.

1. What Is An AFDB?
Edited on Mon Apr-19-04 07:52 PM by freetobegay

An Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie (AFDB) is a type of headwear that can shield your brain from most electromagnetic psychotronic mind control carriers. AFDBs are inexpensive (even free if you don't mind scrounging for thrown-out aluminium foil) and can be constructed by anyone with at least the dexterity of a chimp (maybe bonobo). This cheap and unobtrusive form of mind control protection offers real security to the masses. Not only do they protect against incoming signals, but they also block most forms of brain scanning and mind reading, keeping the secrets in your head truly secret. AFDBs are safe and operate automatically. All you do is make it and wear it and you're good to go! Plus, AFDBs are stylish and comfortable.

What are you waiting for? Make one today!

2. I'm thinkin 60-40
and gaining. It is a very sad commentary that 'conspiracy theorists' seem to make more sense than the US gov't.

4. I dislike grand theory too, trumad-but the truth is gradually coming out
and for the good of our nation not a moment too soon, imho and experience. This administration is capable of anything, but not above the law. That's my opinion, a growing one every news cycle now.

5. Like Gore Vidal says, "'conspiracy stuff' is now shorthand for
unspeakable truth."

It's been easy to get most reputable people to stop asking questions, if their line of inquiry is smeared as "conspiracy theory." Increasingly less so, because too much awful truth has been brought to light, since the shadow government no longer keeps to the shadows. Connecting the dots is becoming almost respectable.

David Ray Griffin, Michael Meacher, Howard Zinn, Gore Vidal and...

"According to journalists close to the Vatican, the Pope and his closest advisers are also concerned that the ultimate acts of evil - the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon - were known in advance by senior Bush administration officials. By permitting the attacks to take their course, there is a perception within the Roman Catholic Church hierarchy that a coup d'etat was implemented, one that gave Bush and his leadership near-dictatorial powers to carry out their agenda."

6. I agree
besides some of the Tin foil turns our younger voters into our best defenders. I hear rumblings from the right they are upset over the 18 to 21 year old block because they predominantly side with Kerry

Spiritual home of trumad who allowed the lame to walk, the blind to see, the mute to talk and who said "conspiricy theories art not but an alternative and sometimes informed opinion."

10. It all comes down to...
Edited on Tue Apr-20-04 06:38 AM by Q
...searching for the truth. But even 'Trumad' doesn't know if 'conspiracy theorists' are right OR wrong 'half the time'. Remember...the most successful conspiracy is one that can't be proven. Conspiracies, by nature, are secret. Built in to the conspiracy is plausible deniability, redirection and escape plans.

- So many (RWing) Americans hate the Left that they're willing to overlook the possibility of a conspiracy in their own leadership. They were anxious to find conspiracies of all kinds when it came to Clinton and Gore...but when it comes to the Bush* gang they've deluded themselves into believing nothing but 'straightshooting' and righteous behavior is possible.

11. Many people
used to think I was completely out there until recently when little by little the evil truth about our regime has dripped out. I will never trust a word the junta says and will be wary of all governments in the future. The Founders imagined a firewall of the People and the media keeping our government accountable, they wouldn't believe what was going on today. The People are (for the most part) in a drugged stupor and most of the media is in the hands of the same evil group pulling the strings of their puppets in Washington. Sad, very sad.
