Woodward's book is on Repub Campaign website as...
recommended reading because they know most of the right-wingers don't read the books anyway. They buy the book and talk about what they heard on talk radio...but they never read it. Bush and Cheney know that if they say it is a "positive" book, their media "allies" can spin it as such and few of their supporters will read the book - no matter if they paid good cash for it. They are manipulating the ignorance of their dedicated supporters.

1. I think they have realized that they made a big mistake with Clarke's...
book by making a big deal of it, sending out the talking heads all over the place. This time they are trying a new tactic, pretend it is good news, make very little noise. Interesting switch, wonder if it will work? I guess it will depend, unfortunately, on the media to follow up.

4. Cripes! I really don't think they are that smart...
I think they got more than they bargained for with Woodward. Hah, why would they give access like that, only because they trusted him. And all he did was write the truth. I would watch for the book to be taken down from their site, but what do I know?

The interview on 60 minutes was NOT complementary, it painted Bush as a religious fanatic controlled by Cheney, and subverting funds to get the war it wanted. It showed that the ONLY person who had any sense about a war with Iraq was Powell, the only person they discounted. Maybe they really are above the law and the truth, so they think it doesn't matter anymore? Lord, please no! Or war is peace? Please no....that's why so many DU'ers feel wierd today?

2. Woodward is a GOP whore - and the Rove backfire on the $700m treason
is just to get it off the table now rather than have it pop up in October.

Likewise the Colin dump is per the WH wishes in that Colin has no second term future if Bush wins in 94 - and you know the Woodward, in the right down the middle, fair approach he claims he uses - has used the NYT method of report a nasty only with enough smoke and mirrors to make the reader conclude it was not that nasty.

3. Woodward's book is red herring psyops.
It is meant to distract from the MIHOP realities of the 9/11 scam.

The sheeple can buy into the level of treason that it took to lie to them to get into Iraq, but if the real story of how the bushler cabal was complicit in the planning and execution of the 9/11 black op ever came out, the sheeple's false concept of reality would crack open and bloody revolution against the Power Elite would erupt.

Woodward has been a deep cover double agent since the Watergate scam where Nixon was duped into taking the rap to cover for Haig and others' more sinister black operations around the world.

5. They maintain a degree of confusion with lies and propaganda....
That is why people here on DU are confused also. Either the book is truthful or it is not. Either it is critical or it is not. It is not one or the other - in the eye of the beholder - as some have said. If Bush lied about going to war with Iraq, if he diverted funds from the Afghan War, if he made a deal with the Saudis to let them make money off high gas prices now so they could lower them by election time, then there are a lot of critical questions here. It would not be recommended reading for Bush suppporters....

6. Is there a link to buy it there?
It will be the #1 book of the year. If they get a cut, that would explain it.
