Nostalgia for Clinton hits me periodically.
I remember how happy Chelsea, Hilary and Bill always seemed to be when they were together. How pleased I was when they announced that Chelsea would be attending Stanford University which is close by.
I remember President Clinton's speech at Columbine High School in Colorado and the impact that his soothing, empathetic voice had on that audience. As the camera panned the faces of the families, classmates and teachers of the victims I thought I could see the relief enter their faces as they listened to the President's words.
To me this speech was comparable to Lincoln's Gettysberg Address, not to compare the magnitude of the subject matter, but the simple, heartfelt, unscripted delivery and the effect it had on the respective audiences.
Do you have have favorite?

1. Hard for me to remember that far back |

Damn, I have trouble remembering last week. ;)
The speech he gave in favor of Kerry a few weeks ago, was, I thought, brilliant. He wasn't constrained with being presidential.

3. I enjoyed that one too ... |

When Clinton was at a soccer game in England not too long ago (year or so). The crowd there gave him an enthusiastic standing ovation. Democrats make good presidents and ex-presidents Clinton, Carter and Kerry. Sounds very good.

June 6, 1994. The line "these are the men who saved the world" moved me to tears. I thought of my dad and my uncles all dead by 1994 and everyone of them fought in WWII and yes, they were six men among the many millions who did save the world.
I thank God none of them are alive today to have to see what that imposter at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has brought this country to.
