SICK. Anti-Choice commercial on during syndicated TV.
It was disgusting. Some woman talking about how she was pro-choice but as she got older became less sure abortion was such a "good idea." I didn't catch the name of the propaganda co., but I think it was something like Majella Society.

:puke:

Oh, I feel ill.

4. Not as bad as the ones in my town
with little kids singing about abortion being a Holocaust.

I complained, but my bitching fell on deaf ears.

6. I complained, but my bitching fell on deaf ears?
I don't understand. Would you prohibit little kids from singing about abortion being a Holocaust if you had the authority?

7. Yes I would.
There's no comparison between abortion and the brutal, bigoted extermination of 12.5 million people.

8. Cool. Would you allow kids to sing the praises of abortion too?
Would you ban kids from singing about the virtues and benefits of removing an unwanted fetus from a womans body?

9. What's with the bad attitude?
Edited on Tue Apr-20-04 12:02 AM by rockymountaindem
I just think that the whole thing was in poor taste and it offended me personally because there are people at my synagogue who lived through the Holocaust and have talked to me about their experiences. I don't see any comparison between the two.

I think I speak for many people when I say abortion should be safe, legal and rare. Fewer unwanted pregnancies means fewer abortions. That's everyone's goal, isn't it? Abortion is a personal decision, not a political one. If people are thinking about an adoption, then they are free to find as much information as they can and make their own decision. If anti-abortion folks want to stop someone from having an abortion, then they can do so personally. I just want them to refrain from cramming ugly, offensive comparisons down my throat while I'm watching TV in my house.

10. Who Supports Usng Children in This Way?
How many grade school age children understand sexual reproduction well enough to have an opinion? Any one who uses children to make their political point is prety low, and so far, I only see one side doing it.
