So, when Condi Rice stated at the 9/11 Commission hearings that one shouldn't downplay the importance of other members of the coalition, she implied that their presence was instrumental in the overall success of the war on terror.
Now that Spain (and others) are pulling out, they themselves are downplaying the loss of those resources saying that it is no problem to fill the gap.
Can you have it both ways?

Not bashing the prowess of their units mind you but they have, what, 20 troops in country? I do think we can cover that.
Spain is a different issue, as is England if they ever wake up.

I'm sure the Scots, Welsh & Northern Irish posted out there would prefer you to refer to the UK as the UK, rather than England or at worst Britain.
