"False Comfort to Terrorists"
what's wrong with it?

In a diplomatically worded but unmistakable rebuke, Mr Bush also "stressed the importance of carefully considering future actions to avoid giving false comfort to terrorists or enemies of freedom in Iraq".

Hasn't Bush heard of the expression "lulling them into a false sense of security"? Now, giving true comfort to terrorists would be another matter.

Or am I expecting too much for Bush to master the English language?

1. I heard about Shrub saying that...
on the radio yesterday, and almost drove into a state cop on the Turnpike.

That wasn't a problem with language, it was a problem with Shrub's conception of the world. To say that to the new leader of Spain, who got his job largely due to the attacks in Madrid, is ignorant and despicable.

This lack of respect for Spain is very likely the impetus for more of our "allies" to decide to pull out of a losing proposition.

2. Right
They have a "false sense of security" if they think a little thing like an election is going to keep W* from staying in office and busting their chops.

completely ignores that fact that the promise to pull the troops out of Iraq was made well before the attacks and well before any 'demands' that may or may not have been issued by Al Qaeda. Keeping campaign promises isa foreign concept to these unelected buffoons.
