Above is the link to the Official Bush Campaign Suggested Reading List. Below is their list, with Woodward's book preferred over books from 6 wingnuts.

Can anyone tell us why the Bush Campaign likes "Plan of Attack" so much?

1. "Can anyone tell us why the Bush Campaign likes "Plan of Attack" so much?"
Because mass hypnosis and reverse psychology are currently MOs of Bushler propaganda.

4. they like it because
it, at least, makes Bush appear to be real. It makes him appear, at least, as though he is "in charge," that through the course of his day, he really is "acting like a President."

The book talks about how he "cried" after he was forced to make the tough decisions...etc. (Of course we know that that's bullshit, evidenced by his being caught on tape at the time of the invasion swinging his hand, stating, he feels great!)

But anyway, the book will garner sympathy for Bush. The book makes it appear that the immature weakling we know here at DU is really, according to Woodard, love him or hate him, agree with him or disagree with him, at least "an actual president," just like the rest of them were.

Bob Woodward's book counters the growing sentiment that Bush is a complete fake.

That's why they like it.

2. Reverse psychology?
Attacking Clarke, Dean etal only increased the sales of their books. Maybe they think if they act like Woodward's is no big deal people will ignore it. The Left won't bother to read it if it's pro-Bush and Bush supporters can't read so they've neutralized the threat.

My other theory is that Woodward knows way more than he's telling and they're afraid to attack him.

3. It is there because they didn't know what was in it. . .
before it was published --- now they do, so we will see what happens.

5. What to us means "nutz' to his base means sainted. It's a political tract
and I would owe myself at least asatisfactory answer to this question before I'd shell money for it. You are being played.
