There are only 3 Republicans who have integrity and are NOT....
Shills for the Reich Wing:

Jim Leach (Iowa)
Amo Houghton (New York)
Ron Paul (Texas)

I would never call them "shills"!

All other Repubs are "shills" for the Right!

1. Ron Paul is really a Libertarian
he just didn't think he could get elected on a third-party ticket, so he ran as a repuke.

25. Libertarianism..
That's pretty much the definition of libertarianism. We agree with them half the time, when it comes to issues of personal freedom.

9. But he is one of the better Republicans.
Sometimes we have to take what we can get from the opposition party.

28. He is helping keep Frist in charge of the Senate.
So he is as much a part of the problem as Trent Lott or Rick Santorum or any of the others we love to hate.

I've never understood why so many people here slobber all over Chaffee, Snowe, and Collins. As long as they caucus with the Republicans and vote for the brownshirts in the leadership, they are part of the problem.

14. Agree with you.
After what Bush did to him in South Carolina, the fact that he still (however grudgingly) supports Bush makes him seem like Bush's lapdog.

30. Oh, Hagel Belongs in the Coup Too
Friends with Bush I.

Think Bush I encouraged him to go to Nebraska and run for office. Wonder if he suggested he get into the voting machine business too?

Hagel is in the "Good cop/bad cop" game, as the "good cop."

He's the backup next time around, especially if a Jeb candidate isn't too appealing yet.

Hagel is just another playing piece in the Bush gameplan.

which is scary because his politics are quite the opposite of mine.

I give him credit for being honest, regardless of the consequences or repercussions.

Until James Inhofe took the mantle, Hagel was the biggest lying piece of crap, fossil fuel whore in the flat earth society of climate change deniers.

17. Houghton is retiring
both Leach and Houghton voted against IWR and Paul too. Another one who would be on this list would be Connie Morella but Connie's seat is now democratic.
