When did liberal become a four letter word? Optimism, revisited.
saw this JFK quote posted earlier and thought I'd re-post.

But if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal."

thanks, pinto

1. When? The Pub PsyOp Mind theft propaganda did it in the past 8 years
or so. These guys know what they are doing, lies lies lies often enough can turn around so Up is Down, Liberal is Bad, Greed/selfishness is Good.

Its mind theft man.

It started in the Raygun years, and was perfected by Gingrich crowd.

5. Yes, the start was during the Raygun years when the Christans dumped on
poor Jimmy Carter. But it too a few years to gather the strength they have now....and you mentioned Newt, yup, he and Rush did it to us.

4. But, what about the JFK quote? It can't all be about "them" can it?
We are letting conservatives define us.

6. So it comes to pass, they define us. We must do the same to them
We must come full circle where Good is Good and Bad is Bad.

Truth, Sanity, Reason, Logic, Common Sense must be rescued from the dark dungeon where they now reside.

8. This quote should run in newspaper ads, and maybe...
go on billboards, with a pic of JFK.
