The results of Bush's Tenure to date are horrific. |
|
Installed by the NeoCons/Far Right and few Brown Shirts, this Nation has suffered under Bush's Leadership, if we could call it that.
He is a lazy guy, doesn't read, think, or care for the Nation. The evidence is clear. The Neocons are using him for their agenda... profits. And the Fundies their agenda, stuffing the courts with Fundie Judges. By themselves they are weak, but together, in this ongoing coalition, we have a darn hard fight on our hands.
Thank God for this internet that we can team up too. Its only a matter of time we will find a way to coalese. Hopefully, we do it in time.

1. opi, this misAdministration frightens me and |

truly makes me worry for my country. If we do not get them out, we will become a fascist nation run by neocons and fundy right-wingers. At that point, I'm hoping Alaska will opt OUT.
But it's good to see you, my friend :loveya:

I am still entertaining the notion of getting gainful employment at either UAA or UAF. I would jump at either choice, and I seriously doubt that the Alaskans I know well would embrace the fascists from the lower 48. Fish ON!

4. Miki, feel free to PM me if you need info on the Fairbanks area - |
|
and please don't be too disappointed when I tell you this is a heavily Repuke state, invaded by the neocons during the Pipeline buildup.
But we're working to change that, and the more DU-minded folks that come up, the more chances we have.
I wouldn't live anywhere else, though, even though the political battles are tough. It's like a small piece of heaven on earth for anyone who likes the outdoors.

9. I figured we'd do it the way the Conch Republic was gonna |
|
(Key West, that is)......... secede, declare war, surrender, and get all the $$$ for "rebuilding", but then I suppose we'd have to put up with Enron, Halliburton, Brown & Root et. al. in addition to Exxon/Mobil, and the rest of the leeches that are already here....
But you can always come up and join us! There's a pretty strong "Alaska Independence" movement already (mostly libertarians)!

Thank Goodness For The Internet!
I would have gone stark raving mad without it these past 3 years. It's the bane of the neo-cons.
Bush* is the neo-cons front man using his 'charming' and 'Godly' ways to keep the Fundies interested and the brainwashed hating anything Liberal. They will spin and manipulate until they have their ultimate goal and then rid themselves of that pesky US Constitution which protects the rule of law and all the little people who get in their way. The Fundies will put their men on the bench, but those men will actually do whatever the neo-cons wants them to do because the judges are neo-cons.
For the longest time, I posted here on DU that I didn't think the Republicans would let Bush* run again, but I now understand that the neo-cons have the means to make him appear to be what he actually isn't. I now think that if he were to win the election this year, they will find a way for him to step down, as his 're-electability' is no longer a factor. They would then have total control of the next four years, and possibly beyond.
Bush* is falling apart right before our eyes, so it's a race to see if he can keep up the pace through a long and pressured summer, if they can continue to resurrect him when he falters and if they can keep Americans entertained and/or pre-occupied with anything that is not political.
This will be difficult for them because too many screwed-over Americans are now looking and listening. Just how many Americans, Fundie included, will follow blindly along the next few months will be a struggle for them.
When Bush* loses, they will go on to Plan B and start in on Kerry what they did to Clinton, and they will continue to infiltrate and try to manipulate the left's activist's groups and organizations. They'll be back in 2008 with a vengeance. We have to remain strong and united and aware of the manipulations. The internet, once again, will save us, so long we don't become too complacent and allow them to manipulate us here.
