Bush* Pirates Shipwrecked In Iraq

The Black Commentator
April 15, 2004

"...The blooming of Iraqi national solidarity is in part a result of American racism and, at times, barbarism. Among the soldiers are men who revel in ripping Korans, who used sniper rifles to murder women and children in Fallujah, and whose commanders have refused from the beginning of the occupation to even record the deaths of the Iraqi civilians whom they purport to protect.

Even the British, who former UN Ambassador Andrew Young once said “invented racism,” are appalled and alarmed at American behavior in Iraq – conduct that threatens the lives of British soldiers in charge of the southern part of the country. The UK Telegraph reported the comments of a “senior Army officer.”

Speaking from his base in southern Iraq, the officer said: "My view and the view of the British chain of command is that the Americans' use of violence is not proportionate and is over-responsive to the threat they are facing. They don't see the Iraqi people the way we see them. They view them as untermenschen . They are not concerned about the Iraqi loss of life in the way the British are. Their attitude towards the Iraqis is tragic, it's awful. "The US troops view things in very simplistic terms. It seems hard for them to reconcile subtleties between who supports what and who doesn't in Iraq. It's easier for their soldiers to group all Iraqis as the bad guys. As far as they are concerned Iraq is bandit country and everybody is out to kill them."

American racial warfare was horrifically successful against Native Americans, Mexicans, Filipinos and many other victims of Manifest Destiny – but was defeated, at terrible cost, by the Vietnamese. The Iraqis are thwarting them again. The American worldview, stunted and deformed by racism, does not prepare the nation to interact with non-white populations without reverting to type.  Thus, the American military is a blunt instrument with limited uses. Only its machines make the US a military superpower. The human resources of the United States, civilian and military, are patently unfit to rule the globe. This elemental fact will become more obvious with every deployment – even to Americans.

The U.S. can punish darker nations and peoples, but it cannot exercise lasting authority over them. Unless it learns to coexist with others on the planet, it will be shunned and eclipsed..."

4. Amen........
the situation couldn't have been summed up any better.
As a rule, American's view themselves as "most civilized", when in fact we're myopic children who can't see the world through anyone's eyes but our own. If this attitude doesn't change we're destined to become the object of the entire world's scorn. With the exception of a few countries we're already at that point. It won't take long to alienate what few remaining allies we have left, then any fight against terrorism will be ours alone. That will be a battle we can never win.

5. An excerpt:
"The Plan to “change the world” by enslaving it became the defining foreign policy doctrine of the United States the minute George Bush walked into the White House, in 2000. The Bush men were consumed by the prospect of world conquest, compared to which al Qaida seemed less than a fly, a mere gnat, unworthy of diligent monitoring.

The Plan has come utterly undone in Iraq, in full view of a wired planet. Yet George Bush behaves as if nationalistic bombast will forestall the inevitable exit.  Incapable of perceiving Iraqis as human beings, Bush conjures demons. “They seek to intimidate America into panic and retreat, and to set free nations against each other,” said the President. But when a force cannot stay, it must retreat.  The U.S. cannot remain in Iraq."

- The next president of the US must make radical changes...AWAY from this view that we have the 'right' to dominate the world and enslave them.

7. Racism is the fundamental mistake behind this catastrophe
Even more basic than the lust for profit.

These Bushco people do not understand that "others" are real. Not knowing this, they are blinded to everything else.

Thanks for posting this excellent essay,Q.

Does anyone know who is the un-named author of this piece? I read the "about us" page which names the two publishers of the site, Glen Ford and Peter Gamble. Maybe they co-write the editorials?

It demonstates the mindset behind their flawed logic..

<snip>
Well I dont give a shit what you read or hear xxx but cant you get it through your feeble brain that the pictures dont lie and I guess those hundreds of rotten dead rag heads they were digging up with no bullet holes in them allowed themselves to be buried alive! You would rather trust these shitheels than your elected leaders so be it, me I could care less if they had anything most other real Americans feel this way also, They all deserve to die for wanting to kill Americans, there is no way I could serve there as if I saw some wild eyed abba zabba fuckers stoning a burning American Vehicle I would empty a clip in their ass! FUCK IRAQ!, IRAN, ARABIA all them ungrateful fucks it was us the American people that gave them their freedom and livelyhood and fools like you let them tell us what to do! Sure hope you didnt have any relatives who served in North Africa or the gulf war!
<end snip>

This is the typical Bush supporter's reply to 911 / Bush fore knowledge

- We see the same rationalizations used to explain why we slaughtered Native Americans or enslaved the Blacks and other 'minorities'. It's always THEIR fault...not ours.

12. It is time to just call the kettle black...
Meaning bigotry by any other name is still bigotry

It is alright to invade a country because they don't have democracy....Meaning their form of self government is not as good as ours.

If they resist and fight back they are insurgents and terrorist...if we were invaded and fought back we would be called terrorist

Terrorist of freedom fighter it is determined by the victor. But indiscriminately killing women and children with sniper fire no matter who the victor is indefensible
