Greenfield was just on turning my stomach with all the pro-bush polls...saying how all this bad news out of Iraq is HELPING him because it's keeping the issue of terrorism in the news and that's his strength...
Then he went state by state to say how Bush is leading in the battleground states...and said NJ is a deadheat...wasn't there a poll yesterday saying 51-39 Kerry???? Someone help me here...do they just make these things up and then the gullible public to believe it or is the majority of America asleep and stupid??? I JUST DON'T GET IT!!!!

this will energize dems to vote. and around the madrid incident, some were saying that if that would happen in the US, the sheeple would actually keep bu$h* in office rather than turn him out, like any sentient person would.

2. What a depressing "American Morning." |
|
I just posted this in kentuck's "War on the Media" thread, but it's probably more appropriate to post in this thread; sorry about the spamming. :-)
It was the most depressing hour of morning television I can remember. They were reporting about a multitude of issues; the upcoming Iraq Supplemental, which likely will not be put to a vote before the November election; the leading economic indicators that clearly show inflation is on the rise; more fighting in Fallujah, and of course, the Michael Jackson crap.
After reporting all of these horrific news stories, Jeff Greenfield comes on with some new polls that show Kerry sinking, sinking, sinking. According to Media Whore Jeff, Kerry is behind in most every battleground state poll as well as the national polls, and his lowest numbers are on the "Iraq" and "Trustworthy" questions. Jeff assures the Republicans that they can take a deep breath, since it appears the Democrats have lost all of their boisterous primary support. He also said Bush can stop worrying about this war affecting his re(s)election chances, because no matter how bad it gets over there, when the media talks about the war and terrorism, Bush's poll numbers skyrocket.
Yep, I know it's April, and yep, I know anything can happen between now and November in this fucked-up world, but I'm depressed and disappointed in my ridiculously idiotic countrymen for continuing to support the war-mongering corporate cash cow in the White House.
Over 100 dead in less than a month; more money more money MORE MONEY for the war; inflation is up, wages are down; the 9/11 Commission; Richard Clarke; Bob Woodward. When did Chimpy grow Teflon??????
:grr:  :grr:

6. Reading Franken's book now... |
|
which is just great and talks about the "push polls"...so I keep thinking these fox/cnn polls probably lead them on somehow...I have no other explanation...
My son who is 18 says most/all of his college buddies will vote Kerry and he can't figure how anyone would vote for Bush...so I'm hoping for the young vote turnout which I doubt is included in these polls... They watched Kerry on MTV and thought he was great so that's a good sign.

3. Don't let CNN get you down. |
|
It's very apparent that they are shills for the Bush Administration.

4. Greenfield's "analysis" gets me down, but unfortunately... |
|
... the stupid polls aren't helping to cheer me up, either.
I just would have expected to see Bush trending downward what with all the bad news. Yes, I know it's only April and what-not, but Bush should absolutely be trending down these days, and he's doing just the opposite.
Greenfield enjoyed twisting the knife in our backs, though.
