the worst of America. Her entitled and spoiled demeanor did not disguise her contempt for working class America. She had a couple of fake charitable programs meant to give her a Lady Bird persona. But she didn't like posing with those old people in her senior citizens program and her drug program was absurd and counter-productive. She dropped all her "work" and left people in the lurch after Ronnie was out of office. It was a facade meant to soften the Queen she felt she was. Hillary gets the reputation as being the bitchy "too much influence" wife but at least Hillary dealt with political issues. Nancy held way too much power over Ronnie and it was all about personalities and whether she was receiving enough bowing and scraping from the underlings.
She is the anti-thesis of a truly wonderful first lady, Rosalyn Carter. Rosalyn doesn't need Rodeo Drive to sell her as a lady. She just is. Intelligent, compassionate, and dignified. Nancy got pregnant to force Ronnie to marry her, then became a beacon of morality. Ronnie was a Democrat; she got him to switch to be more like her neocon stepfather. She lied about her age. She lied about her education. She has terrible relationships with her children. She is another example of the rightwing's glaring hypocrisy. All hat, no
cattle. Why are wingers so impressed with people like her?
