Condi to brief ONLY repubs on Iraq | is this SOP? |
|
or yet another outrage from the bushies?
politicizing the war? or are they just getting together to tell Robert Byrd jokes and have a giggle?
if it's a common thing for Dem administrations, well, it still looks bad.

2. Only SOP for Imperial Amerika, I believe |
|
During the Days of the Old Republic, both parties were briefed by the executive, regardless of which party was in power.,
This IS SOP for Bushevik Tyrants as they transiitoin the nation from Freedom to Bootlicking Imperial Tyranny. This is actually quite a common occurrance for them and they've been doing some variant of this from the very start.

3. item back in spring of 2002... after Israel went into Ramallah |
|
and after the rhetoric about Iraq had begun to step up its pace... after 6 weeks it broke in the press that the president nor his people had any contact with Congress per updates on National Security.
Then it turned out... that they had briefed top republican's in the house - but not the top democrats in the senate (who held the majority)... used vague "national security issues" language.
Then it turne out... that top GOP donors - with no security clearance - had been in attendance in the meetings where Condi briefed the top GOP officials in the House.
Very short media stir - and the story went away.

4. btw, press stories at the time - said it was UNPRECEDENTED |
|
suggesting that no, the Clinton Administration (nor Bush1, Reagan, Carter, etc.) did not only brief the leaders of their own party on national security issues.

Imperial Amerika has all the checks and balances of Gorbachev's Soviet Union.
And the Busheviks are looking to equal Brezhnev's Soviet Union and perhaps even Stalin's.

9. So is the media going to pick this up this time??? |
|
That last one was during the LONG time Shrub was getting a walk on everything, but the media seems to be waking up a bit now. Is someone going to question this type of action this time?

at least not most of them. It's not the sort of thing anyone but wonks care much about, and will get little press because the press would have to explain the whole thing. Just like the press isn't jumping on Cheney's assumption of Presidential duties, which is probably a far more troublesome invention of this administration.
Ask the next 100 people you meet if they think this is important. Try to get just one not actively involved in politics who says it is.

after all, they are only governing with the interests of repukes in mind anyway....if dems where included there might actually be a coherent thought/view expressed in the room.....
