6. Just saw it
They were also showing some of the pics that are posted at http://www.thememoryhole.org/ and talking about the release of the photos, which the Pentagon says "was a mistake".

7. It was Brokaw's lead story too.
He said the website where the pix were posted was jammed. Said most Americans approve of showing the photos.

12. Shades of Ellsberg...
but why her husband?

Finally the networks are showing the cost of war. All those coffins will be delivered to a family whose lives will never be the same. The American people NEED to see what war brings.
And for what? WMDS? Nope.
Now the WH line is "the spread of freedom." Who signed up for that? And doesn't that contradict their oft-repeated phrase that "the troops are protecting our freedoms?"
So they're protecting ours and the Iraqis' at the same time I guess.

If it was my kid being delivered home, it wouldn't comfort me that he was blown up for the Iraqis' freedom. That wasn't the mission and obviously the Iraqis don't want anything from us.

14. I hope everyone cancels subscriptions to the Seattle Times
for firing the photographer. Everyone should support the truth and the rights of the press. If a news source panders to Bush's censorship, then just cancel your subscription. I'd send Tammy Solicio my subscription money for printing factual informative information.

16. the photographer was NOT fired by the Seattle Times, but by
her contracting company which owns those aircraft for shuttling the coffins back home.

17. If you're going to cancel your "Seattle Times" subscription,
cancel it because the ownership is 100% Republican. Someone in the editorial office must have overruled them to print Tammy Solicio's photo on the front page; I know I was fairly shocked to see it.

I thought about writing to Mr. Blethen and his family to ask them if they could recommend a good Sunday paper in the area. Their editorials are as RW as they come.

>She says she didn't know anything about it.<

It doesn't have anything to do with Bill Clinton's penis.
