Coulter defines what a (liberal) democrat and (conservative) Republican is

*** WARNING: Rightwing bile ******

Except for the presidential election, the most important election this year will take place on April 27 in Pennsylvania. That's the day of the Republican primary pitting a great Republican, Pat Toomey, against the 74-year-old, Ira Einhorn-defending alleged "Republican," Arlen Specter.

Thanks to Arlen Specter:

States can't prohibit partial-birth abortion;

Voluntary prayer is banned at high school football games;

Flag-burning is a constitutional right;

The government is allowed to engage in race discrimination in college admissions;

The nation has been forced into a public debate about gay marriage;

We have to worry about whether the Supreme Court will allow "under God" to be removed from the Pledge of Allegiance.

3. There is nothing conservative about the current republican administration
They are pseudoconservatives and neoconservatives.

"Pseudoconservativism is among other things a disorder in relation to authority, characterized by an inability to find other modes for human relationship than those of more or less complete domination or submission. . . . The pseudo-conservative is a man who, in the name of upholding traditional American values and institutions and defending them against more or less fictitious dangers, consciously or unconsciously aims at their abolition. . . . sees his own country as being so weak that it is constantly about to fall victim to subversion; and yet he feels that it is so all-powerful that any failure it may experience in getting its way in the world . . . cannot possibly be due to its limitations but must be attributed to its having been betrayed."

Richard Hofstadter, The Paranoid Style in American Politics and Other Essays, 1965.

5. Gosh did Senator Specter do all those things all by HIMSELF!?
Quite an impressive resume!

He did defend Ira Einhorn - about thirty years ago, when the guy was first arrested. I guess Ann Coulter is against the constitutional right to a defense as well. Figures.

6. Just another attempt to push this country
more to the right. So Arlen Specter's a closet liberal. Who woulda thunk it?

:grr:
