Has anyone seen the controversial "Princess Di" picture? |

Do you have a link?
I've never been able not to look at a train wreck. My morbid curiosity is killing me.

7. CBS aired the photo on 48 hours last night |
|
There is a big controversy in Britain because of it. People were "outraged."

I seem to recall seeing her in the live coverage of the event. She was sitting there, and she didn't look injured like you would have expected. I was VERY surprised when she died. I guess there must have been complication in the emergency room.

23. Not necessarily complications in the ER |
|
My brother is a State Trooper and he says he's seen numerous cases where a person is horribly injured and pinned in a car, but they're conscious and talking and in relatively little pain. What happens is when they cut the person out of the car, it releases the pressure and allows massive bleeding to happen and the person dies in a few moments. Gruesome, sorry.

heart was ripped from her chest cavity. The ER doctors massaged her heart for almost two hours before finally coming to terms with the fact that there was nothing they could do to save her. :-(

it's a black and white pic, and she's sitting there, slightly slumped over to her right... you can barely tell she's injured, but she's unconscious.
sorry don't know of a link.

I haven't been able to find a link, but I saw the program. It really wasn't gruesome or gory; just a grainy black and white photocopy of a picture. It looked like she had a bit of blood on her face, and her eyes were closed. That's all.
Don't feel bad about having "morbid curiosity;" I'd love to see the Dale Earnhardt autopsy photos which were supposedly posted and which are now unavailable. This sort of thing fascinates me.

... right after the crash? I definitely remember Paris Match or some similar French tabloid publishing pretty explicit pictures. From what I recall, Diana wasn't visibly disfigured. The car was a total wreck, though. I'm surprised she even lived after the crash. Good old Mercedes Benz!
Those Brits and their false sense of outrage. Guess that's where we got it from.
On edit: or not! Went on a little Google search after posting this and apparently there weren't any photos of the bodies published, since the cops had confiscated them. Guess I filled in the blanks in the crash pictures, eh.

I meant to post the link. I didn't mean for the picture to appear.
My apologies. If someone can correct that, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.

26. I agree. The stretcher photo. Her face has been doctored..quite poorly |
|
I didn't want to watch it on CBS.
I thought it over the top and cruel to her children and family
to have to relive the nightmare.
I did however, read the account posted by the French photog who took
the picture. He mentioned her face was beautiful and clear and she was
moaning in a semiconscious state, help me.

They weren't grusome at all. They were black and white and a little grainy, and you only see her from the neck up. One photo looks like she might be grimacing or crying, but it's very hard to see. The other one just looks like she fell asleep.
Edited to say that I didn't think they were gory. Pictures of dying people could be defined as grusome.
