Anyone watching Frontline about Guantanamo?
What a sad and tragic story. The CIA recruited a Muslim from Canada and then screwed him over.

4. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who saw this.
What a story. Did you see the pictures of the prisoners being taken to Gitmo on the plane? (I seem to remember those pictures being posted here.) The kid said that he was hoping one of the soldiers would kill him. Interesting stuff about Osama, too.

16. I thought the interviews with the young man's mother
and sister were very interesting. And the young man's reaction to the World Trade Center attacks, the video of the person that jumped/fell from one of the towers, was interesting, too. His story of the reactions of the others was chilling.

12. No, because they're running the Wild Wild Auction.
The local paper complained about not getting this show tonight. Man, I hate PBS's pledge breaks and auctions!

13. Did you catch what he said about Gitmo???
Edited on Thu Apr-22-04 09:38 PM by DrBB
10% of the prisoners are actually al Qaida related; the rest of 'em have no idea what they're doing there.

I suppose I should be surprised it's as high as 10%, really. But it's pretty appalling. And the guy himself almost committed suicide there, even though he wasn't a genuine prisoner but was deliberately inserted in there as an informant.
