Terence McKenna (1946-2000) has been studying the ontological foundations of Shamanism and the Ethnopharmacology of spiritual transformation for the past quarter century. An innovative theoretician and spellbinding orator, Terence has emerged as a powerful voice for the psychedelic movement and the emergent societal tendency he calls The Archaic Revival

6. He says 10% at Gitmo are actually Qaida |

One of the bits of this fascinating and poignant documentary that really stuck out for me. Went on for some length about it. Said the reward for turning in "terrorists" was largely responsible--guys turning in relatives or neighbors for the $5000, and you end up with a lot of people who have no idea what they're doing there.
And the guy himself nearly committed suicide while there, despite the fact that he was in there as an informant, not a genuine prisoner.
One of the better Frontlines I've seen recently.

That guy and ,yes, the CIA, is saving lives doing it that way--American and muslim lives. It seems more surgical to infiltrate Al Queda and nail the guys who want to kill us than rummy's preferred approach, which is to bomb the shit out of everybody.
I think the guy did the right thing--he got sucked into a bad situation and (partly to save his own ass to be sure) may have saved the lives of the kids killed by whichever Al Qudeda guy he busted may have killed and the lives of the innocent people who happened to be arounf when chimp retaliated with carpet bombing. .

9. We did watch the same program? |
|
this is how the CIA should work? Arrest people thought to be al Q supporters, toss them in Gitmo, and when they turn out NOT to be, then train them to spy on Al Q? Why not just RELEASE them...?
if memory serves me here, CIA created Usama BL. That's a rich turn about now to have face their own creation.
