Headlines SEATTLE TIMES: BUSH "WE ARE NOW A TARGET"
Haven't read thepaper yet, but I noticed the headlines in the grocery store tonite.

I'm waiting for the public response to this headline though.

My first thought to Bush's new enlightenment:

-----------------------------
BUSH: "WE ARE NOW A TARGET"

No shit, you stupid fuck!
You fucking ignorant fuck!

I didn't buy the paper anyhow.

1. The irony is that Bush has made it so...
I saw the same paper on my way home.. right next to the one with the headline that read, Iraqis enraged over US use of force.

Thanks Republicans, thanks Bush. I hate you all.

5. Me Too
Another beautiful sunny day along the beautiful Puget Sound.
It was abruptly and depressingly interrupted by that headline. Just had to get it off my chest, to my pals here at DU.
I'm getting tired of this idiot bush ruining my lovely days with his fake war.

He is depressing.
Wish John Kerry would come here to speak. I would go see him just for the moral support. (mine)

Life is too short to waste one day of it on G bush.
7 months till the election.
Please, I just know there is a God watching out for us, make george go away.
***Happy Earth Day***

6. I thought we were already a target?
I thought that was the reason we invaded Iraq in the first place? Because we were a target of their WMD?

Did Chimpy forget his talking points?

I have to agree that he is a stupid ignorant fuck. Really.

4. He's just figuring this out now?
Maybe he'll fight a real on terrorism instead of using it as a pretext to invade an oil-rich country.

8. my newspaper today "terrorist are the winning the war on Terror"
WTF?

and in sub headline quoting some nimrod saying they were expecting Armageddon. well I have to say this is an interesting campaign strategy by bush. I guess it probably works I don't know. Are people this gullible?

Look I don't believe it if we are targeted it's most likely coming from the administration.

I just don't believe it before the elections??? I bet the world is sitting on pins and needles or they will be hoping this deranged President we have is voted out. Unfortunately I don't feel Kerry has given the Middle East much hope for a better tomorrow. so who knows?

If we're a target why wait until just before the election?

One more humbling thought if it happens we deserve it.

WE are ALL Targets now..

the truth is BUSH IS NOT A TARGET..

HE has a security team and always will.. they clear 9 BLOCKS Of businesses when he shows up..

will they do that for you?

NOPE..

but now 3 BILLION Muslims HATE americans the world over..

YOU are a target, and YOU are screwed..

Having Bush in the White House is like having a veneral disease that Won't go away with any treatment..

Kerry may not be able to STOP US FROM BEING TARGETS, and that's the scariest part..

BUt I'm voting for him anyway.

18. I'm guessing there would be LESS of a risk to us if Kerry were in there.

Consider this: bush is widely recognized, by now, as having alienated most of the world and turned it, en masse, against this country. He's turned his nose up at hard-won treaties that many countries worked on, for years. He's scoffed at the UN. He hasn't won us ANY friends, AND FURTHERMORE, he's created legions of brand new enemies and people who wish us ill - increasing numbers of whom are increasingly willing to act that out. The basic behavior and mindset of bush to bring all that on is NOT the basic behavior or mindset of John Kerry. John Kerry doesn't act like that. He doesn't swagger. He isn't petty, vindictive or arrogant. He doesn't have a sense of divine entitlement that his royal bushness was apparently born with. He doesn't have a "my way or the highway" attitude that alienates people and turns friends into foes.

It's like an equation: x + y = z. If you establish that x and y are what will give you z, but then you have a + d, you can't expect to get the same result, z, as you would if you added x and y. If you get purple because you add red to blue, how can you expect a purple result if you add yellow and blue? bush brings the negative components to the mix that Kerry does NOT bring. Therefore, you're apt not to get the same result.

Same argument can be applied to those who say if Gore had been in the White House, 9/11 would have happened anyway. I disagree. Gore brought different components, attitudes, and team members to the table than bush did, and they had a very different agenda than bush's henchmen do.

I think things can only improve, world-wide, if we're under new management by next January. I think the world will respond to us if it's Kerry who comes calling, instead of bush. I think they'd be more likely - and willing - to deal with us again if they knew they didn't have to deal with bush anymore.

12. Bush palpitating the old fear tactic again...
They really are flailing at the end of their rope.

No one is going to attack us. Why would they? Bush would like nothing better than to have another excuse to blow the ME to kingdom come. And at the same time use the opportunity to diligently cover up his tracks simply by occupying Americans with death, chaos and grieving.

No, he will have to do his own dirty work this time.

14. george inspires the darker side of hate in all of us
He's a miserable excuse. Leaders inspire greatness and fortitude, pride in the most humble of humanity.

George Bush is hate. He's inspired it in me that's for sure.

What's that saying in the bible? I don't know it but it says something about casting off your eye or hand if it leads you to sin? Something of that direction I think.

Anyone know? I think it aptly applies to the the miserable failure, spreader of hate, g bush.

Then he needs to be "cast out" right?

16. You don't have to play into it..
"George Bush is hate. He's inspired it in me that's for sure."

You are in control of your own program.

There is nothing inspiring about Bush.

When you feel yourself slipping into his hate game,

turn away and shut it down.

"Then he needs to be "cast out" right?"

Impeachment=Cast Out, right?

15. We went to war because he said we were a target. Now he is saying "Now"
Shouldn't he be saying still? Or is he admitting he lied back then.
