In case anybody doesn't know who Janeane is, she's a talk radio host on Air America Radio, and she should be on any minute now on Leno/tonight show.

|
Good job Janeane, even if the audience was dead.

when I'm tired I look twice as tired, when I'm sick I look twice as sick. If I try to wear pastel colors I look like a freaking Easter Egg. :o
One advantage - I'm 47 with no gray hair. And you CAN'T SEE MY HAIR IN THE SINK. Gawd - finding a dark hair in the sink FREAKS ME OUT.

20. When I went blond this is what I said |
|
In Four Weddings and a Funeral, Kristen Scott Thomas has short dark hair, not only does she not get the guy but she hooks up in the end with a lifesize cardboard Prince Charles.
In The English Patient, KST has long blond hair, not only gets the guy, but he steals a plane, flies thru Nazi air space and ends up disfigured just to haul her dead body out of a cave.

She was making some witty conversation, and there was barely even a giggle from the audience.

one of my favorite memories of living near the NBC studios in Burbank was waving to Jay Leno across the street, in the midst of taping some bit. He waved back, at which point I yelled: "You're not funny!" and continued with my day.

11. Stunned that someone was speaking up |
|
for liberalism and feminism.
Stunned that she said flat out that people were being misinformed by the right-wing and voting against their own self interests.
That's how I took the audience's reaction.

15. Most of those audiences are brain dead. |
|
It's people out during the day, like tourists, the out of work, retirees, housewives and students. They tell you whether to laugh, applause or be silent with signs. Apparently a liberal wouldn't get signs going up for them in that atmosphere. Remember Jay is still milking Clinton jokes about Monica. Sign: *laughter*, *applause*.

21. Leno had a pretty good joke in his monologue |
|
he was talking about how the Woodward book said Bush was doing what God told him to do, or something like that, and Leno said, that Osama says the same thing. Literally not a single laugh, which is the response Leno has been getting a lot to his anti-Bush jokes recently.
