One More Reason to Hate Nader and Repukes

It's not strickly political, but it is another reason.

I moderate a Usenet forum that has nothing to do with politics, and lately we've been getting a flood of "Nader for President" SPAM. They're these long messages that mostly trash Democrats, and they're pissing me off. They're also pissing off other participants who are constantly complaining about them, which, in turn, pisses me off even more.

Now, to make matters worse, whoever is sending these things forges an approval header so that the messages bypass the moderation process. (For those unfamiliar with Usenet, moderation there works differently. Messages have to be approved by a human or some type of automated system. They're not supposed to be seen without approval.) These messages with the forged header get posted no matter what the moderators do, and due to the sloppy construction of Usenet, there's no effective way to delete them.

From reading the moderator's mailing list that's distributed to all usenet moderators who subsribe to it, I've realized this is being done on a massive scale. It's also become apparent that it's not Nader's official campaign representatives doing it, but neither are they doing anything to stop it, and it does reflect their message clearly. There's an effort underway to figure out where these messages originate, but it's not getting very far.

Anyone want to give the odds that it's a Repuke?

This type of activity is illegal. How about odds on whether the justice department would investigate?

Nader is out for Nader, he is not on our side! I regret my vote for him in 2000 with every passing day, and I live in the deep south!

This makes me ill, I hope you can find a way to stop it. You should call the people over at tech tv, if their is a way to stop it they will know. Leo is a genius!
