I was watching Arianna Huffington on The Daily Show. It was pretty good. She was talking about her new book. Title above. But anyway, she and Jon Stewart were talking about these groups of people. What I got out of it are that the fanatics are the Bush Republicans and freepers. The fools are the dems that follow suit with the fanatics. Tom Daschle, Joe Lieberman, and the biggest fool of all, Zell Miller. We all know that these people have to go. Though as for Daschle, he may need to stay so as to not have his seat go Republican. Miller will be gone thank God. The thing is, someone here said earlier that if the Pukes loose this election, they loose everything. I would love to see this brand of Republicans get taken down. How can we strategically marginalize them?

1. IT is already happening |
|
You can almost see it in the streets, as more and more people are waking up
The last time anything like this happened was 1800, and that Revolution actually led to the death of a Party, and I think we will see the same here. They are that dirty now

2. You think that the Repubs are heading for a systematic death. |
|
By that timeline they would be dead by 2009. Though that is optimistic.
2004: Bush gets ass kicked in general election. Kerry becomes President. Democrats sweep into the house and take most senate races.
2006: Democrats make even more gains in House and Senate. As well as in many of the gubenatorial elections held this year. Lieberman looses to a Green
2008: Bill Frist/Jeb Bush or some other idiot Repuke runs against Kerry and are soundly defeated. Dems make further inroads, while some other liberal states elect Greens in many senate races.
2009: Many offices are now populated by Democrats and some Greens or other party emerging, while only the most socially conservative areas (e.g. Colorado Springs) still have Republican representation?

3. There is a schism in the Repug Party |
|
The NeoCons: pro war, pro Israel, pro free trade, big spenders, vs
the PaleoCons who are isolationist, except for self defense, balanced on Mideast Policy, against free trade, & fiscal conservatives.
There are also the social moderates, mostly suburbanites, who are out in the cold.
I think they will self destruct soon.

4. It took longer for the whigs to self destruct |
|
More like thirty years, and they were replaced by the GOP... but talk to the common person in the street who is paying some attention and you will hear some disdain, even in Freeperville central (I live in one county that is traditionally Republican).
It is there, just under the surface, but many are connecting the dirt with GOP... now they COULD reframe themselves but for that to happen they need to kick way too many of their leadership. The Traditional GOP member has to take over the party... and FAST.

To make this work, the American lack of attention span will have to be over come. What I fear is that once in, memories will once again become short.
