1. I can't imagine the emotions
of the soldier in the photo. What a travesty...

1. ...that the cause of the picture exists at all and that there are at least 14 more grieving families.

2. ...that someone had to sue our government for it to even be acknowleged.

3. ...that the couple from Seattle lost their jobs because of publishing a similar photo

Does * and his cabal really think that we are so malleable that, if we don't see such things, we will ignore what they are doing to this country and elsewhere?

4. bushco would put smiley faces on the coffins
it's fucking sick that it took over a year to see these 'CENSORED' photos. censorship of the sickest kind. and what is INSIDE the coffins? we don't want to see that either, but the flag draped coffins cover the horror so nicely.

bushco is horrified of the vietnam syndrome they keep saying they've kicked. they know what it means, when people suddenly start seeing the truth about war.

we are such sissies, we sanction the atrocities with our votes and taxes, but we are too sensitive to see the results.

5. Huge, similar photo in the St. Pete Times
Page One, takes up the entire center of the page. My husband saw it on his way out the door this morning, stopped dead and said, wow, that's a powerful picture.

7. Also covered on ABC's Good Morning America
They interviewed the sister of the woman who got fired for taking the photo, and also interviewed the guy who runs thememoryhole.org which published numerous photos of returning war dead that he obtained by filing a freedom of information request with the Air Force.
