Need help on a "who's who" in this administration project
Edited on Fri Apr-23-04 09:06 AM by T Roosevelt
There are so many people involved in this administration (or associated in some way) that it's difficult to keep track of them. Nobody seems to know who they are or their past history, and the media never seems to provide this information. I want to put together a series of mini-bios that highlight their connection with this administration, and some of their "accomplishments". Here is my initial list (already have a couple of references).

I'm looking for any names I've missed, and links/grafs for everybody. So put your research caps on!

George Bush
Dick Cheney
Donald Rumsfeld
Condoleeza Rice
John Ashcroft
John Negroponte

Rightweb's People Web
This section of Right Web profiles the many individuals who have played a key role in shaping, promoting, and/or implementing the Bush administration's weapons programs, foreign policies, and interventionist strategies. People Web also focuses a spotlight on those individuals who represent nodes that connect the various elements of the right-wing architecture--government, industry, advocacy, and media--to each other in an ever evolving "right web." This is a very tangled web, and no doubt Right Web will have ensnared some people who seem decidedly marginal while letting other, more important figures slip through.

4. How could you miss this a-hole? William Kristol
William Kristol, chairman of the Project, is editor of the influential Washington-based political magazine, the Weekly Standard. Widely recognized as one of the nation's leading political analysts and commentators, Mr. Kristol regularly appears on all the major television public affairs shows, and is the co-author, with Lawrence Kaplan, of the best-selling book The War Over Iraq.

Before starting the Weekly Standard in 1995, Mr. Kristol led the Project for the Republican Future, where he helped shape the strategy that produced the 1994 Republican congressional victory. Prior to that, Mr. Kristol served as chief of staff to Vice President Dan Quayle during the Bush Administration and to Secretary of Education William Bennett under President Reagan. Before coming to Washington in 1985, Mr. Kristol taught politics at the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.

5. Trying to keep the list managable
so I was limiting it to people who were directly in the administration...though there are some foreign figures that I thought ought to be included (Chalabi, Musharref, etc).
