George Bush says "Jesus changed my heart."
Did he go through a transformation that led him to equate cruelty with power? And to seek an abundant life through competing for material riches?
Has his "change" led him to be assured of personal salvation in the hereafter, not through work for peace on Earth, but through the praise and worship of a god who responds favorably to flattery?
If George W. Bush is an example of someone whose heart has been changed by Jesus, I'm going to look for a new "hero." - Gretchen Nielsen, Tucson

For all those who think it takes a "tough" president to lead the country in time of war, consider that President Bush has executed his war on terror by invading and occupying a country that we now know had neither WMDs or links to international terrorism. Now he finds himself in a Vietnam-like quagmire with Americans dying every day for no purpose.
Anybody in a position of power can issue an order to attack and occupy. The decision wasn't smart, it was arrogant, and it did not require a tough president to make it. For those who still think we need a tough president, we now know from John Kerry's Meet the Press interview that during the Vietnam War, Kerry was engaging the enemy in mortal combat in Vietnam while Bush was patrolling the Texas coast, and there is some evidence that Bush didn't even live up to that simple obligation.
No matter how you spin it, Kerry is smarter and tougher than Bush. -Jeff Kahler, Phoenix
