Don't use all your ammo too early in the battle...
As we have learned with Repub tactics, and some would say with Democratic tactics, there is usually a bombshell of an exposure - personal or otherwise - just before the election. I would recommend t the DNC that if they do have information about Dubya that might not reflect too favorably in the polls, that they save a couple of bullets for later in the contest. Because there is no doubt in my mind that they plan on using this strategy on Kerry. They will find something embarrassing...

1. Anyone who thinks there's going to be a straight line
from now to election day with a Kerry victory assured, doesn't understand the determination of the Bush cabal to stay in power. Everyone has something in their background that could be embarrassing. Kerry has been in public life so long that there may not be a lot of secrets left to uncover. But that won't stop Karl Rove & Co from making up something.

One problem with a lot of Democrats is that they tend to play fair and expect others to do the same. You'd think we'd have learned better by now.

3. The election is a long ways away
There is a very long time until the election. We need to be patient and keep on plugging away. It does make sense to keep some ammo in reserve for October and the debates.

4. I disagree
I think it is time to come out swinging and "go for the jugular" - see the shallow throat article yesterday on the front page...

6. You're citing a JOURNALIST??
Do you really think people will be persuaded merely because a pundit thinks we should?

Another demonstration of the oxymoronic quality of DU's "conventional wisdom"

9. No
I don't think we should do this because of what a pundit says, I think we should do it because it makes sense. I cited the article because the writer made a lot of good points.

And, we don't have to worry about running out of ammunition early - every day, the * Misadministration gives us new ammunition. If Clinton had tried 1/10 the stuff that * has done, he'd have been nearly unanimously impeached long ago... where is the outrage that Chalabi's nephew is running Saddam's trial? That was buried behind the Basra kindengartners being killed... and, Bush talking on Earth Day.

5. So much ammo, so little time...
I want to see the Bush Administration sniveling in their hole, waving the white flag, and begging to go home by September.

8. Just because we bring something up now doesn't mean we can't bring
it up again later also. Like Bush*'s military record. we have not heard the last on this issue. It will be revisited a few more times before November. I say let's hammer them now and again later also. Drip Drip Drip Drip. The more we get out there the more people have to dwell over. Don't hold back except for financial reasons. If we run short of money it will be better to use what we have right before the election instead of eight months out. But if money is not an issue let's hammer them.
