I can actually see most of the images; yesterday I could only see the ones of the planes and the soldiers (no coffins) but if you right click on a blank image box (I still see some of those now) and look at the properties and copy that and paste it into the address box the picture does come up.

I wonder how much longer they will be there? It a shame that the world cannot see what it must see to get a real grip on the reality of this "war"!

5. It's gone. For how long?
They hurt the Busheviks more than almost anyone by getting the coffin-draped photos released.

It wouldn't surprise me if they "committed suicide" or if governmental agencies turned on them for running "a Jewish Website in Nazi Germany".

Or if they were all murdered. Drug deal gone bad, is what Ashcroft/Himmler will say. The Gestapo will concur.

Or if they all "fell out an unscreened window from a height of greater than 75 feet onto a hard surface".

We should all keep this thread :kick: ed and find out!

18. Duh. I just realized (well I read a post here which made me feel stupid)
that it's probably a heavy-traffic issue.

Probably.

It's hard to keep calm and process information in a cool-headed fashion when you're threatened by 1984-style Totalitarian Tyranny.

But I should have considered that option.

7. No doubt heavy traffic. Every news agency on the planet is trying...
... to get those pictures now. (not to mention millions of citizens are trying to see them)

8. If anyone has server space...
I copied all 361 photographs to my harddrive yesterday afternoon before this went nuts. I had a feeling that this was either going to be a very busy site to access, or that the DoD was going to give the webmaster of this site a hard time, as is the case with the DoD attempting to have the FOI ruling overturned.

12. That's what I'm attempting to find out
I do not have the server with bandwidth enough to host this amount of photographs, nor the bandwidth that this would create. But I certainly believe that people who do need to get these out on servers around the country in the event that the DoD somehow overturns this FOI ruling.

I mean, look at all the polls yesterday conerning this poll. The Anderson Cooper poll I saw concerning these photographs showed that an overwhelming percentage 88% of Americans wanted these photographs released to the public. This is not good "PR" for *'s war once these type photographs begin making it to the front pages of newspapers.

14. Picture Storage
http://photobucket.com/about.php

Monthly Usage: To view your bandwidth and disk space usage, got into your account preferences. Photobucket currently allows 100 megs of disk space ( ~2000 pictures ) and 2,500 megs of bandwidth ( ~50,000 hits ). This should be more than enough for the average user. Non donators will see a percentage sign next to your bandwidth and album size, this indicates the how much you've used for that month. If you are to greatly exceed your bandwidth, direct linking on your account could be disabled. Bandwidth resets once per month. The best way to control this is to keep your picture sizes small and be careful where you direct link from.

17. Thanks so much
I'm gonna try and I'm starting from the last photo and moving backwards. If anyone wants to share and start at the first photo maybe that could help. I don't know anything about space available.

19. If you use photobucket, make sure you turn "hotlinking" off
.
.
.

turn "hotlinking" off if you expect heavy traffic

like "those" pictures may attract, because if you use the free serveice,

after "x" amount of bandwidth, it just shuts down your site for the rest of the month.

BUT

you CAN have more than one site at Photobucket.com and the nice thing about photobucket, you can show thumbnails and/or the urls if you want to make "hotlinking" easy.

16. Scatter them on some indymedia sites
You can upload them through the Publish form.

Start here, then find some regional servers in the left hand column:
http://www.indymedia.org

The main server is often too busy to handle image uploads, but most of the regional servers have no trouble with it.

These pages are an exact mirrored copy (except for this message) of pages available on thememoryhole.org, which has become unavailable due to the high volume of traffic generated by news reports. These photos were obtained through the Freedom of Information Act by Russ Kick of The Memory Hole. This mirror is provided by Warblogging.com
