Sharone says Arafat no longer off limits
Announcement by CNN at 2:00pm. This means Sharone will not honor the promise made to Bush 3 years ago that he would not physically harm Arafat. White house has not yet responded.

7. I guess the difference this time is that Shrub supported him
by approving of the killing of the Hamaas leader. They said Sharone told Bush when he was at the WH last week, getting the approval, that, effectively, he was going after Arafat next.

At least this is the CNN opinion now.

8. I think this would just inflame the Arab countries!
even more! Instead of the US trying to be the peace arbitrator, we seem to be stirring the pot!

Sounds like more cause for terrorism to me.

10. Sharon wanted Arafat to go into exile
Arafat was asked if he would go into exile to avoid being killed. Arafat's reply to the question of whether or not he was willing to leave was, "Why should I leave? I WAS BORN HERE!"

Arafat is not about to go anywhere unless he is killed. I seriously hope that this does not happen for the sake of peace and also for the sake of the Palestinian people.
