LAURA INGRAHAM WAS WHINING ABOUT HER HARDBALL APPEARANCE |
|
Laura Ingraham was whining on her radio show this morning about her appearance on Hardball last night. For those of you who missed Hardball last night, she got bitch slapped by a DNC guy from New York. She was talking about Kerry flip-flopping about statements he made about the war in 1971 compared to what he says now. The DNC guy told her that in 1971 Bush was probably doing some veyr unpresidential stuff. And the only military wound Bush suffered was a scratch on his knee when he fell down running away from the Texas Air National Guard. Her face does dropped - and she was speechless - for a change!!!
Anyway on her radio program, she said that she doesn't like to go on TV (I wish she would stop) and she didn't know there would be someone there that actually challenge her. Then she started mocking and immitating the guy who bitch slapped her. What does she expect when she goes on Hardball.

My theory is that Chris Matthews got fed up with Ann Coulter shortly after she wrote "Treason," and so now he invites Laura Ingraham instead.

25. Great, I am thrilled to learn I have something in common with the incubus |
|
I'm a divorce attorney. Most of the attorneys I know are liberals because we like the Constitution, Civil rights - you know those tree huggin'kinda issues. I've noticed that conservative attorneys don't really work as attorneys. They usually write stupid books or have stupid radio programs. They don't litigate b/c people who litigate like civil rights. I notice when a freeper gets in trouble, they hire a liberal attorney - like Rush Limbaugh hired Steven Kennedy Smith's criminal attorney for his oxycontin problem. But I digress. I amso grossed out that she is a lawyer. I know Coulter is but now there are two. Is Armageddon near?

32. Since it's been mentioned here that she's an attorney... |
|
It reminds me of a story that has been given numerous attributions. It's basically advice for a novice attorney, and goes something like this.
When the facts are against you, concentrate on the law. When the law is against you, concentrate on the facts. When the law and the facts are against you, denounce your opposing counsel.
Sounds like RW harpy radio to me. If the shoe fits, wear it, Laura!

Ingram is claimed to be an Attorney, Coulter is touted to be an expdert on the Constitution, yet neither is ever asked about any of these things......Law or Constitution. It is much like asking a Physician questions regarding janitorial services. They have never spent any time practicing their professions????? Just what are they qualified to do accept ramble on and on and on and on, on things they are not qualified to debate. Young bimbos for the Neocons.

39. I don't know how common this is... |
|
but it seems to be a common thread with the RW harpies. They're nearly all lawyers, and they've done little or no practice to speak of! Someone did some checking on Coulter a while back, and found NOTHING. She claims to be a "Constitutional attorney" and has never litigated a Constitutional case.
Maybe law schools need to start actually requiring practice the way med schools do. If you don't practice medicine, you aren't allowed to be a physician, period. It helps to weed out the types who should really be getting a PhD.

I didn't know that Kellyann Conway (née Fitzpatrick) was one as well. She's usually listed as "Republican pollster", which means she's doing all sorts of "push polling" where the goal is to influence opinion, not measure it. Check out what happened in NC when John McCain was running for the Republican Presidential nomination to see what "push polls" are about.

40. Her rambling illogic on Hardball was hysterical |
|
Matthews began the segment by mentioning some contradictory polls, a vast majority of Americans believing there are no WMDs now, but a small majority thinking there were WMDs at the outset of the war. Laura Ingraham cited prominent people who believed Saddam did possess WMDs -- Clinton, etc. -- and pronounced the conflicting polls absolutely astute, there were WMDs in March 2003 that were later magically hidden.
Mark Green matter of factly stated the obvious, that the opinions on WMD existence prior to the war were flawed and it was absurd to use consensus opinion as proof that WMDs existed one year ago and were later concealed.
Ingraham's face on the split screen was priceless -- pained and shifting and desperate to squawk. When Green continued to get the best of her in subsequent exchanges, she talked over him several times and Green was wonderfully composed in reminding her to let him finish.
Ingraham used to be significantly less offensive than Coulter. Now she's little more than a punching bag in wait, pathetically unable to defend her positions with anything clever or competent.

I can't believe anyone takes her seriously. Then there's the ridiculous outfits she's always wearing; who does this woman's wardrobe consulting? (Yeah, I know...she does!).
The cable freak show reminds me of an old Bloom County cartoon where Ronald-Ann (the little black girl) is having an existential crisis and so, "feeling puny as can be, I turn on Morton Downey, and watch people even punier than me".
