How ignorant are some of our fellow Americans? |
|
I bet many were shocked, saddened and or angry when they saw the pictures of coffins.
And I really believe the next polling will show more people against this war and the reasons we went there in the first place.
That is how far we have fallen. They needed to see the dead for themselves to actually activate thier emotions of compassion and humanity.

they need to see the dead bodies being dragged through the streets. The fascists want to censor the coffins because ... you know...Sieg Heil!

A co-worker asked me if I listened to a talk show host. Forget the name, because I don't listen to him... anyway he stated that the guy was a Libertarian and that he hated Liberals. I didn't comment, but instead I pointed my cursor at this site and mockingly repeated: Boyshie boy, oh bushie boy!
Kinda appropriate, since I am in a work place. I happen to know that this guy is a 'born again' so without disagreeing or offending, I chose wisely.
PS - He needed my affirmation, not the other way around. I believe the same is true of the rest of the right-wing.

4. It's called the "Dover Test" or the "Dover Factor" |
|
It's the test of how many casualties the American public will be willing to accept before they begin to question the validity of a war. Americans have always been willing to accept a "just" war. The price of casualties in WWII was harsh, but seen as worth it to stop Hitler and Tojo. But in Vietnam when the bodies of our soldiers began arriving at Dover Air Force Base in increasing numbers, the American people found it increasingly difficult to accept the government's line. Will Iraq pass the Dover Test? I hope not.

5. The problem is you really DON'T have a free press..Not at this time anyway |
|
When the public is fed this pap and crap daily, telling them the lies about Iraq and that the rest of the world is wrong....I guess after a while they believe it!....Most of them do not have access to the truth from international sources....IMO
