Next weeks 20/20....a teenage girl picks the parents of her baby?

.....next week on 20/20 they're gonna dedicate the hour to a *reality* show concept(their words)....by having a pregnant teenaged girl pick the parents of her baby out of 5 couples...Barbara just said how *special* it was gonna be...wtf?! :puke:

Shouldn't that be illegal? :shrug:

Money isn't necessarily the motivating factor. With private adoptions and many agencies, the woman giving her baby up has a say as to which family the baby ends up with. I think it's somewhat distasteful to air such a thing but it's certainly on the up and up.

....made me rather ill when I heard Baba Wawa and that smug ass John Stossell talkin' about it as their take on a *reality show* to unite the *lucky* couple with this teens baby....it's like the first poster said...a game show of an adoption....beyond tasteless imho! :(

Why shouldn't the person giving up the baby be able to choose parents? I think it's barbaric that they didn't used to let the birthmother have any say in who adopted her child.

Now, billing it as entertainment--that's bizarre. And having couples "compete" a la "The Bachelor"--that's disturbing.
