What was the very first thing you ever learned about *???
Edited on Sat Apr-24-04 12:22 AM by northwest
And: How did that shape your opinion of him initially???

As for me: The first thing I learned about him was that he was a cocaine addict in college. He lost any support from me before he had a chance to get it. I guess my first impression of him was that he used to be a drunkin', druggin' frat-boy. This was in early 2000. I'm really surprised that after he stole the election, no one ever mentioned it anymore.

I'm sure some of you folks in Texas might have some interesting things to say about this...

That's all I needed to know. He's just as big of a worthless piece of rot as his Daddy.

2. He reminds me of JR Ewing...
Guess I am showing my age, but...lol. I think he was trying to model his life after JR's in the 80's.

5. He was a failure as a businessman
Edited on Sat Apr-24-04 12:31 AM by kerryin2004
a failure as our governor here in Texas(where the governor really has very little power), and a failure at organizing a winning Ranger baseball team. He was excellent at ripping off the taxpayers of Arlington into building his rich ass a brand new stadium so that he could capatalize 100x over when he sold it..He knew than how to f*ck over the little guy, and he is still doing it as president..I knew we were screwed from my past association with him by living in the state of texas.

6. Six plus years ago, when Limbaugh was pushing him for president
Edited on Sat Apr-24-04 01:32 AM by Zinfandel
two and a half years before the 2000 election...I knew then Bush was the far rights choice as their robot and the corporations puppet, they were going to do a Reagan number on the American people...No substance, project the image these lying greedy fascist wanted Americans to see, a complete lying sham, saying the absolute opposite of their intentenions...("compassionate conservative" indeed)...and just like Reagan...lie and embellish Bush's record as Governor to the American people...

I knew over six plus years ago, exactly what to expect from the lying idiot Bush...and he hasn't proved me wrong for an instant.

7. The first thing I learned about *
(And being a Texan, this is important) was that he was from Connecticut and he was the coattails-riding son of the former President who beat out that nice liberal woman, Ann Richards, mostly over the issue of guns (despite the fact that Richards is an avid shooter).

I have never not hated that man. My brother and I were discussing it today, as we passed by a car with a sticker that read, "I don't have to like Bush to love America." No. It's not that I don't like Bush. It's that I hate Bush. I hate him like I've never hated anyone before in my life. To me, Bush is the antithesis of everything that I love about this country, and the representation of all that I despise. I hate Bush, and I am not ashamed of it.

9. i had a baby and watched my niece start the school
system under bush. and i started checking out what he was doing to the public schools and his tass tests?, and no child left behind program here.

during the election i watched him lie continually as they labled gore a liar. and i watched the smear campaign by his people as bush said no more negative politics, clinton did that, bad clinton, when that is all he did, and gore did not and got the label. and then mccain, what he did to mccain, and that was it. was never for the man, but that, digusted me.

11. That he did some type of work in his father's White House.....
...working a little with Lee Atwater, working a little with Elliott Abrams in Nicaragua, helping with the arms shipments to the Contras, taking care of the hard personal decisions for his father, always hiding in the shadows and never leaving a fingerprint....

14. That he flew around in a murdered mans jet
Edited on Sat Apr-24-04 12:56 AM by teryang
It was alleged or suggested by some that brother John Ellis arranged for Mena drug dealer Bobby Seal's murder by Columbian hitmen.

The jet was probably seized when Seal was arrested. I guess chimp had the inside track on cheap jets up for auction.

Al Martin alleged that Chimps role in Iran Contra was insurance fraud with insurance company executives paying off multiple times on the same yacht's and aircraft reported stolen over and over again.

17. After Seal was shot to death
A piece of paper with George Bush I's phone number was found in a bag in the trunk of Seal's car.

There's an affidavit from Seal's attorney to the effect that Seal had a direct line to the VPs office, that he called and that a military adjutant, some Admiral answered the phone, saying Office of the Vice President of the United States.

19. The death penalty issue...
After learning about his history while Gov and his callous attitude, I knew all that I needed to know about him. I figured he was the most disgusting type of evil hiding behind an image of a compassionate "born again" christian.

20. There was a political cartoon
in a Philly paper, maybe early 99 when he was first being considered as a gop candidate, that had shrub in a race car with a sack of money in the back, and the other candidates were drivin' junkers. About a year later I read Jim Hatfield's fortunate son.... You can imagine where it went from there.

21. George W. Bush takes absolute GLEE in killing others
This was the first lesson I really took home about GW.

When given the power to grant LIFE above a sentance of death for a fellow Christian - this is how Bush chose to respond.

Bush’s response: “‘Please,’” Bush whimpers, his lips pursed in mock desperation, “‘don’t kill me.’”

SICKENING
