Tell us, why do YOU hate Shrub?

I hate Shrub because I love what the United States was.

The world knew, yea those Americans, they can be fucked up sometimes, but when disaster strikes, when political systems crumble, when evil rises to threaten mankind's very existance, we can always count on the Americans.

Shrub and his masters have taken that away and I HATE them for it.

Edited on Sat Apr-24-04 12:49 AM by camero
And history shows exactly what happens when the oligarchy has all the power. Up to Bush's selection, there were at least some checks on the power of the rich. They are completely gone now.

I dislike him for many reasons but the main reason is because he is sitting in the White House with less votes while the other guy got more.

but i dont hate the man.

what bothers me the most, he projects himself as an example of christianity that is gripping the nation. he is conning people to be non christian in their trust of him. they are being sheep following him blindly, and i dont see a greater abuse of power, than screwing with someones faith

7. Ashcroft
I hate Shrub because I love what the United States was.

Excellently put.

I grew up reading about the patriots of the American Revolution, but more and more my country looks like it's becoming Fascist.

But if I had to select one reason I fear the current administration it would be, Ashcroft and his disregard for the Bill of Rights.

blatant, open arrogant swaggering disrespect for the law.

He has at least a half a dozen scandals going, and nothing has happened to him. He stands there and laughs in our faces while he gets away with theft, murder, lying and stealing.

I hate him because he is abusing his power as the head of the most powerful country in the world.

10. He insults my intelligence
I have no degrees or formal education, but common sense. I grew up Republican and as conservative as you can get. Bush changed that. He's demonstrated the double standard beyond comprehension for starters during the 2000 campaign. His lies are so incredibly lame that they contradict everything he said only days before, and he doesn't even think we, as the joe public, can follow his lack of continuity. It doesn't take a lot to see through it and with the help of bought off media, he personally thinks he's untouchable. Guess what. Everytime I turn around, more and more people quietly lift their heads and say "I'm not buying his crap and I'm not voting for the jerk this year." But we still have to worry about valid vote counting, something I'm not comfortable with, only with a strong windfall.

11. He's so incompetant that can't even lie effectively!
I'm sorry, but I prefer a competant President.

I think it was Bill Mahr or Dennis Miller (sorry to one or the other) who once joked that: "I don't care if the FBI wants to spy on me. I got nothin' to hide. I just want them to be effective enough so that I don't find out I've been spied-on."

Similarly, we all know that politicians lie (you call it spin... I'll call it lies.) But to lie ineffectively lie is an affront to all us 'mericans.

In fact, he's so ineffective and unbelievable that one's mind cannot wrap itself around it. Yes, maybe "the terrists" are hiding chemical WMDs on turkey farms, worldwide. Yes, maybe he is as infallible as the pope. Yes, maybe he is actually on a "mission from gahd."

He's such a lousy liar that he might just get reelected. scary!!!

12. I went from "dislike" to "hate" during the South Carolina primary
when * had this "below the radar" campaign against John McCain that was beyond despicable. He took someone who had done something he had been too chickenshit to do -- serve in Vietnam -- and put out the word that McCain had been "brainwashed" by the Vietnamese, that he had told his captors everything and thus was a traitor, that his wife was a drug addict, and that he had a colored child. All this was going on thru "push polls" and local small town radio so it wasn't picked up by the major media (who would have probably ignored it anyway).

As someone who served on active duty (although after Vietnam), *'s actions went beyond the norms of campaigning, even for someone trained by Lee Atwater (who died of brain cancer, if I recall).

I had never hated anyone in my entire life until that moment. He is still the only person I hate.

But, as Tom Hanks said in the movie "Punchline": "I'm not someone who merely hates -- I'm a 'hate stylist'." (It's funny in context.)

23. I have been angry since South Carolina!
I agree completely with you. I saw this empty suit frat boy lose the New Hampshire primary, & then go on to South Carolina. With the help of his so called Christian friends, they ran the most vicious campaign I have ever seen, & I have watched plenty of them.

But the larger irony is the hypocrisy of this person who preaches God & love, & then smears a good man & his family. McCain displayed more character in 1 day of captivity as a POW, then Shrub has in his entire life.

I also have a strong connection to the military, & these actions were reprehensible, IMO. I dont know how McCain can stand being in the same room with him, but his response is {If I can forgive the North Vietnamese, I can forgive Bush.}

Sorry, my keyboard is damaged, & I don t have quotes or Apostrophes.

Love your hate stylist; my family avoids me, when I am in Bush hate mode.

I think it was Gov. Richards. She had a quick wit and a great style of speaking. Check out her Keynote Address at the 1988 Democratic National Convention. While the "George" she refers to is Poppy and not Dubya, you could swear she had just made the speech yesterday. Especially when she says, "Poor George. He can't help it - he was born with a silver foot in his mouth."

The man simply has not told the truth about ANYTHING, EVER.

He's a fuckwad. He's a dipshit. He's stupid, incompetent, an utter failure as a human being who because of family connections has failed UPWARD to the highest office in the land.

24. I HATE BUSH !
And I won't put a politically correct nicety on it. I do hate Bush and all his nasty cabal. I hate him because he swept away the last degree of faith that I had in anything. I felt I lost my country in election 2000. To watch that swine be installed will barely a murmur of dissent made me want to puke. Democracy died and it seemed no one cared. There are still many people who don't realize what we lost. I was persuaded by my husband to stay and not leave the country. I pledged to do whatever I could to bring back democracy. Then after 26 years, my husband lost his job and much of his pension plan went up in smoke with the recession. We have no health insurance any longer. Our prescriptions now cost several hundred dollars a month that we can't afford. My husband went into business for himself but its a rough start up and he hasn't made anything to speak of. I haven't been able to find a job that would pay anything livable. This year we made the least amount of money that we have ever made and paid more taxes than ever and will get no refund.
I am a textbook case on why to hate Geo Bush. And if the moronic voters put the rat bastard back in the WH, I want to sell the house and leave.I am giving it this election cycle, but no longer. I will not continue to reside in a country that has no respect for its citizens and allows itself to be a corporacracy!

26. How far back do you have to go to find the US that you loved?
The more I learn about what has happened in our history, the less I find to love. We've got quite a record of brutal occupations, starting with the original inhabitants of the US.

We have always supported evil dictators as long as they obey our wishes. How many times have we violently squelched popular uprisings in places where it was none of our business? Its always about propping up the elite upper class, and its always about fucking the little people.

We have just sponsored a coup in Haiti, forcibly removed the popular leader and replaced the democratically elected government with criminal thugs (convicted murderers and drug runners). The story is now 7th or 8th page news, and the news found there is total bullshit propaganda.

The freeps are right. I do hate America!

There are so many reasons to hate the chimp...where do I begin?.....

I am so disgusted by what I've seen from the so-called "media" in this country for the past six years, I've given up watching any network news or cable news. It's all propaganda. It's amazing to me how well Bushco learned from Goebbels. But why should I be surprised, didn't the grandfather have business dealings with the Nazi scumbags during the WWII.

I'm just glad that my father is no longer alive to see what's been allowed to happen to the country he fought for in WWII. If he was still alive, he'd be twice as disgusted as I am.

I'm not wild about John Kerry, but I will hold my nose and vote for him and whoever he picks for his running mate in November. Ralph Nader isn't even an option for me because casting a vote for him, would only enable *.

summer 2000. interest rates were already low. that means that there was plenty of cheap money available. the acknowledged national debt was over $6 trillion. instead of taking the surplus and paying off debt, shrub et al, did what they did. 100% estate tax cuts will turn this country into a feudal state. guess who gets which parts.

10. On average a U.S. soldier dies every day in a war I was against from day one.

9. I can tell the difference between Saudi Arabians, Iraqi's, and Afghani's ... and apparently he can't.

8. I have an intense dislike for nepotism. His 'noble' credentials got him into an Ivy league school, almost a guarantee that he would become someone of prominence someday without ever having to prove any aptitude for the position.

7. I live in California ... 'nuff said.

6. He neglected to help California during the Energy crisis (maybe out of spite because of our states liberal voting history)... but more than likely because of his ties with Ken Lay, one of his big contributors. Plus he allows corporate crime to run rampantly and does NOTHING about it.

5. His appalling record with the environment. No President has ever reversed so much legislation aimed at protecting our national treasures, forests, and endangered species.

4. Anyone know where I can find a decent job ... and not at a STINKING WAL-MART? Which, is part of the repeal on OSHA requirements and laws that prevent Employers from abusing workers rights ... oh yeah ... he continues to support that fiasco that Clinton OKed ... NAFTA.

3. Giving people who don't need a tax break a tax break ... and then shrugging when asked why he can't balance the budget.

2. College Tuition. Sure let's make it even harder for people who don't have a rich Daddy to get an education ... after all ... we need people to work at all of those new Wal-Marts that are opening ... you know ... due to the lessened restrictions on monopolies!

1. Rhetoric and Lies bigger than any President before him and more harmful to the state of peace, prosperity, and enlightenment that we had been so long in coming. Gone in the wisp of smoke from the new factory opening up where that lovely wetland used to be.

cutting Veterans benefits <---- "supporting the troops"

cutting combat pay

43. It was during the battle over the absentee votes in Florida
I know precisely the point when I started truly despising George W. Bush. It was when Marc Racicot (soon followed in lockstep by no less a super-patriot than General Schwartzkopf), both obviously at Bush's command, got up before the cameras in the full Florida sunshine and told America that his rival was unfit to be president because he was, in effect, spitting in the face of our soldier sons and daughters by attempting (in accordance with Florida law) to enforce the deadline for accepting overseas absentee votes. That was the moment when I realized that these people (and it's far from being only Bush) would stop at nothing.

To hate the President (elected or not). I confess that I was resistant all during the Clinton administration. I was blind. I would not listen to the Republicans who tried to tell me 24/7 that I should HATE THE PRESIDENT FOR HE IS EVIL.

HalleFallujah, I have seen the light at last!!! I will atone for being so late by HATING on bu$h day in, day out, no day off. I shall hate him unto the heights and depths that my soul can reach. Each word that falleth from my lips shall be boiled in the oil of HATRED for the President, for he is EVIL.

And I shall dwell in the Horde of the Louse forever. Amen.

49. Because he's a phony
He's intellectually lazy, stubborn and arrogant.

I've only agreed with one thing he has done in his entire 3 years in office. Not much of a record to merit my support.

50. He's the worst president ever.
His whole administration is composed of people who favor the rich, are anti-environment, anti-women and highly secretive. The attorney general is a religeous fanatic and * shares the same views. He favors war but avoided Vietnam, and smears others who served in that conflict (e.g. McCain and Kerry). Cheney is the most sinister vice-president ever. He's secretive, pro-war and favors the rich.

51. Because he's a dangerous idiot with his finger on the nuclear button.
If he weren't born into the BFEE, Shrub would be cleaning oil stains off the floor of a rundown auto shop in Barstow.

He denigrates the office of the President of the US.
