that's what a guy was telling me at work today. And this is a pretty smart guy.
And the lady on the plane who was reading bible passages to me - she seemed to think that all muslims are evil.
This is the kind of mindset they are running against us eliteists.

1. One unpleasant side effect of all this fighting... |

has been a polarization of of ideologies and religions. Look no further than Washington DC for a big push for this kind of "it's us or them thinking". The policymakers like that, because it makes their job very easy.
We've homogenized some incredibly complex issues into a slogan that will fit on the back of a milk carton. "WE kill you or you kill us".
It's very important that we in this decade try to steer clear of that. Counter Punch has a few articles on how the Bush Cabal has whipped up public sentiment in order to gain favor for their hideous plans. They often pick an "enemy of the week". One week, it's Muammar Kaddafy, next it's Saddam. Then it's Osama bin Laden.
Mind you, they need those bad guys. They can't conduct war without them. Resist this trap. We can still live in peace with our muslim brothers.

or subtley by having a generation of american kids look at the back of milk cartons and seeing a 'missing kid' as they eat their corporate sugar...and then being taken to mall line-ups to get fingerprinted and photographed by cops so IF THEY go missing they can be found...
I think the 'deep programming' goes further than 'slogans'

2. This strategy was highly effective in Germany in the 30s. |

Seems nothing has changed.
"...the people can always be brought to do the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger."
-- Hermann Goering, Nazi leader, at the Nuremberg Trials after WWII
