Time to put the joy stick away, Mr. President. Republican National Committee is running an ad on Internet video game site that lets player act like cartoon President Bush killing terrorists who have invaded White House.

What is with the Republican party's fascination in using Arabs as terrorists. What about using the KKK? Or how about Kach members? How about using Christian Reconstructionists as terrorists? They want to overthrow the government, execute anyone who does not agree with them, and establish a theocracy. That sounds just like Al Qaeda, doesn't it?

I think the title of the game is bush shoot. The terrorists are completely covered and one cannot tell their ethnic background, at least that is how it is on level one.

Pretty stupid game, really. Bush did have a rather hapless look on his face as he reloaded his weapon.

I only saw one popup during the brief minute I was there. It was a "should we stay the course in Iraq" popup.

7. This actually isn't as bad as it seems (I did some digging)

The site, miniclip.com, has a bunch of video games. This is a very typical games site, with games ranging from shooters to word games, chess to action-adventure. Some are even for kids.

One of them is called "Bush shootout." It's rated 14+. I played a round (super-crappy interface). The "terrorists" are completely covered from head to toe in green (military?) guard -- you can see their eyes. You really can't tell what they look like. They're non-descript.

The RNC ad did not pop up on the Bush Shootout page (a National Guard ad did) when I played. I don't know if the RNC advertises only on that page, or on the Chess or the puzzle pages. I think this is pretty shrewd marketing, though -- if the RNC wants to target men under 30, they've found a place.

On edit: They have a Bush-Kerry boxing game. (Cartoon Kerry just beat up Cartoon Bush! The ad there was for Yahoo hosting.)
