Why is CNN Poll asking

Should Israel avoid harming Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat?

To me this CNN question is asking if its okay with the United States population to kill Arafat! We have no right to answer this one way or another. We do not live there and do not know the story from both sides.only what the media wants us to hear.I'm appalled at this question

1. It's sick. Comes from a very sick mind passing itself off as traditional.
It really makes you wonder just what the hell is moving behind the scenes at that place. Whatever it is isn't good.

Should Israel avoid harming Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat? It's so twisted it's an insult to the entire world.

2. CNN polls usually suck...
They asked yesterday: "Do you want to see caskets coming back from the war?" Jeez, some people might think that sounds kind of creepy to WANT to see caskets so they might tend to answer no. A more appropriate question to the controversy would be "Should the media be allowed to show caskets of returning soldiers" but that might not give them the answer they want.

As far as the question today, a more honest question would be "Should Israel try to assassinate Arafat?".

And yes, as you say, why should the US population get to vote on the issue one or the other. Reminds of the movie Running Man where the audience gets to decide if the convicted criminal gets to live or run.

6. You are so right. What I've said all along...
polls can be manipulated. Depends on how you ask the question. One of my first posts at this sight was in regard to this. I gave the example of the lottery commission in my state determining that they needed to decrease the odds of winning because lottery players "wanted bigger jackpots". If you ask someone "would you rather win 2 million or 20 million?"....

7. Kerry needs to talk about * flip-flop
One minute tells Sharon it's OK to defend Israel, the next minute he asks for restraint. He's been back and forth on this so many times.

4. Is it OK to kill Sharon or Bush?
They've killed more people and caused more terror than Arafat.

8. U.S. taxpayers would be funding the assassination
it would be done with weapons supplied by the U.S.
